Your typical soccer supporter in England is lucky (goes for supporters from other European countries too). The Premier league starts in August and finishes in May. And every two years either the World Cup or European Championship is played in the off-season. It's close to non-stop soccer for one in every two years, and a relatively short break for the other year.

The AFL break runs for about 4.5 months from Grand Final day to the start of the pre-season cup. It's a long wait. But for practical reasons you couldn't do much to make it shorter. AFL footy is more physically demanding plus our summers are too hot. And you can't count the international rules series.

The long break is here to stay.

Sometimes I think Schulzenfest and I are the same person.

El Scorcho has said that about me too, but then he had to retract that statement because I hate cricket and he loves it.

Thoughts on cricket, Noobz0r? Your answer will decide whether you're my long lost twin or El Scorcho's.

I'm also a tweeny, but unfortunately for tweenies, we were never old enough or lived in an era where we earned enough money to piss away tanks of fuel (by the time I was in my first full time job, petrol was >$1.25/litre).

That's why I've always loved my 'mini-muscle' cars. Datsun 1600 sss/240/260z, TA22/RA23/RA28 Celicas, early generation Ford Escorts and the Holden/Isuzu Geminis.

But back on topic...
Milne ruled out indefinitely...

Damn good rally car the 1600 and had reasonable success in the 24 oz as a navigator. The Escorts could really fly with some tweaking.

18 cents per litre and 18 cents for a schooner.

Holy crap! When i bought my first car i could get fuel at 69 cpl on a cheap day. 18c schooners, dear lord!

On another note, why the **** can't I seem to start page number on a word document on the third page? I've inserted a break between pages 2 and 3, and haven't had any success.

screenshot and i can help

1. My good self inserting a page break into the 3rd page of my assignment

problem 1.png

2. After then inserting a page number at that page, it starts at page 3, instead of page 1.

problem 2.png

I'm thinking that I will just print off the pages separately and then collate them. I'm using fixing this problem as procrastination now though.

I thought you were an MG man, Rexie.
All I had was an 1100cc Triumph Spitfire Mark 3.

4500 is the required word count :(. It's an essay for the English side of my teaching degree.

If they are no longer aussie made, their sales will drop.

personally, i've got no idea why people would shell out for those hunks of crap for any other reason than it's aussie made.
Have you ever driven a VE? Its a good car, the VF is an outstanding car and ridiculously good value. They are also very fuel efficient these days and have an engine specifically built for blended fuels. This is Holdens main problem the brand names down there with west end they need to change perceptions and the VF might well do that.

I do laugh at people thinking Renault etc are prestigious they are the Holden of Europe and in no way a classy brand plus they make their stuff in Asia to so if you want to question build quality look at wherea lot of the other brands are built.
