The guy on the bus is browsing this forum. Confused as to whether to say hello or abide by no talking to people on public transport rule

Thinking to himself "what hive of scum and villainy is this?"

Or, it could be noddy.

Never talk to a stranger on public transport

In particular the 99A or 99C. Some days it's like a homeless shelter on wheels.

There's exceptions to the "never talk to strangers on public transport" rule ( . Y . )

There's a bus driver here who chats away to himself, which can be a little disconcerting. He gives a sort of running commentary - probably a frustrated tourist coach driver.

I like having a chatty bus driver.

Last time I was back home I caught the 100 down to Cross Road and had a great chat with the driver the entire way. He was from Brisbane and he kept circling back to how much of a hole he thought it was compared to Adelaide.

We can't all be chauffeured around in our Rolls Royce's. :p

Rolls Royces are too ostentatious for me.

Awful gaudy looking things.

I do enjoy the Bentley though.

I had a very chatty hairdresser yesterday (aren't they all) - an Iranian fellow, telling me about the Isis videos he gets on his facebook. I quickly steered the conversation to sport...

So have you been recruited? :p

Actually the hairdresser is one place I prefer to keep the conversation limited, especially when they're doing those bits around the ears.

Stop trying to sell me wax and concentrate goddammit!

This is the very thing that Jacqui Lambie has called for a Senate inquiry into.

"We have a problem with sharia law in this country" - Jacqui Lambie

Is the problem that we don't have Sharia Law in this country?

Ha ha - he reckons one of his customers recently got arrested on his way to joining up with Isis

Not sure what your point is but the answer is always.
I have decades of experience in IT but five years ago I spent four months unemployed because apparently none of my skills translate across any areas. My experience is that a large number of employers hold the opposite view to you and pigeon hole people rather than look at the bigger picture.

Stop going to a hairdresser then.

Barber or gtfo!

Well I know the IT market is complete crap when it comes to getting other jobs. What other profession can you work for 10 years+ and then at a job interview get tests, especially in IT where it can be so broad when you are in the actual position you simply go and google something if you don't know it and learn but you do a test and they expect you to be able to do something specific to them. Clearly if you have been employed for a long time you are capable of doing what it says you do on your resume or at worst capable of working it out. It's like asking a lawyer to give a pretend pitch to the jury, it just doesn't happen. I'll end now but I understand what you are saying for sure.

Never talk to a stranger on public transport

Talking isn't an issue for me...

Shower, deodorant and brush your teeth. PLEASE.

Thankfully, most 99% people do but that 1% *shakes head*

Yeh i need to find a decent barber... do they even exist anymore

Adelaide was home to one of the greats back in the day.

Frank Gentlemans Barber in Rundle Street.

He would have to be retired now though.
