I was equally blasé about brexit and Hanson, believing that people couldn't be that stupid.

Trump won't get in. However it will certainly serve as a reminder that politicians should be careful because the right can come with extreme vengeance if unrest prevails and politicians are inflexible with policy and fail to remotely placate the right.

The US population is definitely not woke af and there's a higher chance people who dont usually vote will turn out to vote for Trump than people who usually dont vote turning out to vote against him. That's what happened with Brexit, innit?

All I can say is thank dog our elections last six weeks and the public only really cares for a couple of days. American election cycles go for like 3 years. I feel like I've known Bernie my whole life despite his anonymity before 2015.

The establishment wants Hillary president because they can control her. She's a known quantity. Trump is a maverick and could do anything, which is why he's dangerous - but that's exactly why the people who vote for him like him.

People are sick and tired of career politicians who don't speak their language and express their thoughts pretending that they represent them. Trump is getting people out voting for him that hadn't even voted since the Reagan administration. And since something like 68% of the population of the US is white non-Hispanic, it's not like he needs the minorities to win - he just needs enough of that 68% to vote for him.

Don't think it can't happen. It could, and very easily too.

It's amazing that Trump and Clinton are the best that a county the size of the U.S can come up with, they are both horrible candidates and will only push America further back than they have already fallen to.

Unfortunately, I agree.

I do business with a few US based companies and it is downright scary how many of the people that I speak to are of the mind that Trump is a viable candidate. These people aren't what you would call 'right wing' but they are all on the conservative side when it comes to politics.
