What do you really think come on? what's next an album with Bono

It's a single performance at an awards show. If it was an album then maybe I'd be concerned. I think they've already proven that they do what they want, regardless of if it's popular or not. If it stinks, then so be it. The Lou Reed collaboration was a disaster but they don't regret it.

M.E.T.A.L.L.I.C.A became a meme in 2002/03, pre-dating memes themselves, performing with a fellow pop act in 2017 is nothing but normal

33 deg already.. just have to prey like anything we don't have any power cuts throughout this heat wave.

In Adelaide a heatwave is defined as 5 or more consecutive days over 35 degrees Celsius or 3 consecutive days or more over 40.

Nah for some reason I always think of Peter Lorre when looking at Rucci.

I certainly wish you would have written a more reasonable story. I felt distinctly like an idiot printing it.

As for power outages, just go for a walk around your neighbourhood and listen for how many houses have the air conditioner pumping all day while nobody is home just so people can arrive home to a cool house. There's partially what's sucking up your power.

not to mention a fire hazard

If only there was a digital keypad that could allow one to program the air conditioner to switch on 20-30 minutes before turning the key...

Not to mention driving up the peak supply that needs to be met, creating a premium that everyone has to pay.

That's basically the reason I turn off everything at the PowerPoint (holes) every day before leaving the house. My dog is inside and the thought of a fire while she's in there alone kills me.

Or even better, an app on your smart phone that you can use to turn your a/c on and off remotely.

This would be totally unnecessary in a decently designed and built house. Building standards in this country are a joke.

In Sydney a heatwave is defined as someone/anyone breaking into a sweat.

I have never lived anywhere like this joint for people whining about the weather.

Yea I'm with ya but just on air cons it's not like everyone has modern units etc. you have people that leave old bloody weatherwalls on all day unattended.

You did apparently need to start building an ark there yesterday.

I think it's the same pretty much everywhere in Australia. People are weather obsessed. Though an English mate of mine says its way worse there.

What's up with this recent hullabaloo about body shaming, if someone is fat - they're fat, if someone is skinny - they're skinny and if someone gets called fat and they're actually not.........well, big deal.
Well to you it might not be but to a person who is lived it through their whole lives it can effect them in a big way especially teens who cop it from school come home and cop again on the internet. How can you even question this?

Man you can be so frustrating at times.

Time to introduce him to Lucille.
