pfft i never said we should trade him. I asked if him being in the side was keeping out guys like Graham and suggested he should consider retiring if that was the case.
Before we start questioning Judd's spot, we need to get McLean and carrots out.

Not sure anyone is seriously questioning Judd's spot but agree McLean and Carrazzo seem to be on borrowed time. Probably another half dozen that would be quite nervous re being at the club next year.

TheSheik how has Bell nearly run out of brownie points? Should he have been playing when he was injured?

I'm not sure he figures in Malthouse's plans, that's all. Mad Mick takes a little bit of time to make an assessment and then once he doesn't have you in his big picture, he uses you sparingly.

Look, I could be completely wrong here (wouldn't be the first time either ;)) but that is my take on it overall.

McLean will be chopped at the end of this year as his contract runs out, he will get tapped on the shoulder and told to retire. Failing that, he will be delisted publically.

Carrazzo has another year left on his contract which makes it a little harder but subject to the salary cap, he too could be told to retire or be delisted and still get his contract paid out.

Always felt Carrazzo never got back after that Essendon game when he had shoulder broken by Lonnegan (I think it was? )

Can I ask what exactly makes you think Bell isn't in Mick's plans? You do realise he only didn't play because he was injured. Mick wanted him in the team so badly he rushed Bell back v Collingwood 7 weeks ago and he hasn't played since.

I agree, he was playing some pretty good footy up until that injury yet he has really struggled physically and more than likely mentally to get over it.

Don't be so sure about McLean just yet.

Carrazzo looked better than I'd seen him in years through the pre-season.
If injury has really taken hold then fair enough and if not.................
Neither of these players will get us anywhere. Not really fussed how fit Carrots looked earlier this year. He's 32. On big money and not contributing. I'd rather be playing someone else.

We can't keep bringing this up though as much as I agree. It was 2 years ago. He's not getting any younger.

If Bell is delisted or traded I feel pretty sure he will be picked up by a club that will turn him into a fair player.
Bell has an option in his contract for next year.

Wiley and Rogers have both spoke about Tommy Bell recently in positive terms - indicating he is in their plans.

Quite possibly, other clubs seem more capable of bringing out the best in players.

Bell makes errors in his decision-making (young players do that from time to time) and its the sort of thing that really gets up Malthouse's nose. It's also something that can't always be taught either.

Carrazzo is 30. There are plenty of 30 year olds still contributing throughout the AFL.........See Gary Ablett Jr. for starters.

McLean and Carrazzo would both be good contributors in the right set up.
Unfortunately though we have too many things against us in having that right set-up now.

Put it this way. They'll both likely be part of the CFC next year so we best get used to it.
Does Ablett have recurring calf injuries?

If Brock is around next year at our own volition, let alone in the leadership group, I will be disappointed but not surprised.

You still haven't given me one example which illustrates Bell isn't in the future plans of CFC.
