Bicks: There is no way they'll drop him [Gibbs] before his 250th game

Categorical.

This is exactly what's wrong with us. Not saying we should drop Gibbs just yet (he has been poo lately though), but the mentality is clear. Good blokes and their milestones before the club.

Exactly why Dmac will be straight back in as we race to get him to 300. Exactly why we held on to Thommo, VB etc too long. The mentality is absolutely much loved players before the club and before performance. Milestones should be earned not gifted.
He's clearly not suited to a forward rotating role, but we'll keep sending him down there.

The club imo needs an independent review similar to what richmond and collingwood did. No decisions should be made until that is completed. Will we do that as a club? **** no. There is no more arrogant club in the league than us. Our response to mediocrity is double down, become more pig headed and continue to back in incompetent people. The afc way led by chapman who is fair to say the most arrogant, unaccountable and incomptent chairman going around. While that smug prick is in charge very little will change imo. At what other club i ask would a chairman who presided over an event that crippled the club with draft sanctions still be in charge? None.

If we were going to d a full independent review it would have started in the bye weeks so it could be completed in time to make critical decisions and find suitable replacements. It didn't happen, hence it isn't going to happen. You can't start a review at the end of the season as by the time it is finished anyone you might want to employ is tied up elsewhere.

But we always have the most suitable replacements already working for us, so wouldn't be a problem.

You just know they're going to blame this year on bad luck. Smith doing an ACL, the Douglas/Gov collision, five posters on the weekend, etc.

2018 Lot of bad luck this year. We'll back in the staff that got us into a GF just 12 months ago.

2019 Get players back finish 6-8. We're on the right track and we'll back in the staff to take another step next year.

2020 Finish 8th. We had a bad run of injuries at the unluckiest time. The staff will learn from this and respond.

2021 Finish 12th. We are in a transition phase, we lost a few experienced players and will back in the next group to respond. Coaches did a great job developing the players.

2030 Finish 8th. We thank Camporeale for all of his efforts and his amazing record of success speaks for itself. His retirement, makes it very difficult have a consistent coaching group. The group should be backed in and will respond.
2031 Finish 1st.

All bullshyt aside from go to woe our season has been a disaster.. look at Richmond now premiers and flying on top of the ladder, compare that to us! its obvious heads need to roll.
How long do we as members just keep accepting the dribble this club gives us in terms of accountability and to be a genuine footy club instead of the plastic untouchables they currently are.

They haven been threatening for 2 decades but this year we realized how badly run this club actually is. Take away the massive supporter and this club is bottom 6.

A bottom 6 club would of been down the bottom of that list and the only reason we have not won a flag since 1998 is because the players of 2005,2006,2012,2017 did not deliver at the pointy end of the year despite all the other issues the club has had over the years.
