He was also key in some telling contests which he won. His defensive game was characterised by his coralling and second efforts. I actually think the teams performance at coralling and avoiding getting sucked into the contest was as good as it has been for the season was critical in the win.

I don't think he lost a contest tonight. Beat his man one-on-one about four times, broke even with multiple opponents about five times, and even beat multiple opponents a couple of times for good measure.

Chased like a beast and tackled, shepherded, 1%ed like we know the Sack can. Steady nerves to put us back in front in the last, too. I never listen to anybody who wants to trade him.

Clearly all the past speculation about trading him should end now. He's just one of those players that just rises to the occasion even though his stats are average and his regular season performances are inconsistent.

You just might be right. I've liked this guy since he came to the club looking like a 19 year old virgin. He's grown up in the last few years and it shows. More improvement coming in future years...
