And he's in a tie for 19th in our goalkicking this year. Should we bring back Modra as well?

I agree with your point overall, but Scott Hodges has the second highest goals per game average in AFC history. His biggest struggle at AFL level came from within his own club - once Modra burst onto the scene there was no spot for him.

True but easily done when you are the no.1 avenue to goal and only play 38 games. Keeps the avg nice and high.

But in the end he couldn't maintain it over a long period of time. I mean he was only 23 when he debut for the crows so was coming into the prime of his career and was upstaged. I think opposition teams worked him out more than anything. Didn't have many strings to his bow much like a LJ.

I think the same would ring true with Nutta. Until someone can overtake him he stays. Not like we aren't giving kids an opportunity to do so.

Opportunity is not a couple of games here and there .
E.G
Lyons -- in for 3 games did from good to very good then dropped now with continue on SANFL dominating form is no certain to play this week for 3rd game .
Kerridge --- encouraging games then winning Roos game with 6 goals as defensive type forward then a average game, yep dropped .
Crouch -- didnt make first 2 -3 games came in did well got injured back for game , yep dropped.
Grigg -- In a team desperate for someone with decent disposal , he has dominated for Legs but no lets give Jaensch his 50 th try and even this week when changes will occur looks like Rielly will be back in 1 st and maybe Grigg will get opportunity after that hopefully .
Yes due to circumstances more youngs have made team and finally Lynch got a chance but think sometimes Sandos selections have been more Craigy like than Craig.

Nutta is pure and simple our best small crumbing forward. He has probably the best footy brain at the club, clean hands and a brilliant eye for goal. I think both will be retained for at least one more year but Nutta has the runs on the board at AFL level.

Can't agree with you here Heafy, his finals performances last year were disappointing.

Finals heat is when you really need your mature players to perform, so.... without any upside to him and no premiership on the horizon I would rather we looked for younger options.

Only time will tell. Right now Callinan is in the team and LJ is about 3000 miles away from selection, having been about 2999 miles away before injury struck. I know which one I think is more likely to be given a new contract - and it's not the kid who has played just 3 games in 5 years and is lucky to still be on an AFL list at all.

nahahahahahahahaha

Sanderson said Mitch Grigg, Jarryd Lyons and Richard Tambling were also on the verge of selection.
“Griggy has been in good form. He’s getting plenty of the ball for Norwood and will be a good player for us. Jarryd Lyons and Tambling were also very close.”

Caught up with my friend down Panther Land and they are rapped with Hartigan and say a definite AFL player and ideal Truck replacement .
Impressive with his pace and talent along with a great attitude and genuine nice person .
These were not the type of words they described McKernan time down there.

Be the greatest modern day SANFL player of all time.

I don't buy the idea that the Crows board just don't like him. There will be something they want him to do and they won't have seen it yet.

I'm just worried it's "dominate for some more weeks" rather than anything more obscure. Because when you have a guy with good AFL form who has a rest, and then performs very well in the SANFL, you shouldn't be asking him to maintain it for longer to come back in.

Just watching the Richmond vs St Kilda game

Did Daniel Conners ever sign on with North Adelaide as there was sone talk last year after he was sacked by Richmond.

He is currently playing in the Essendon District Football League for the Aberfeldie footy club who are top of the ladder.

Sounds like he is making an effort to try to get another chance in the AFL - to quote him: " .... if I got another opportunity .... I wouldn't even drink and ..(the club) can put any restriction (they) like on me."

Please no, his kicking is awful, turnover king and that's without all his other issues.
