did anyone listen to fineys quiz last night? some guy rang in said he didnt know the answer (i think the Q was which foreign player has scored 100 premier league goals?), then after a few seconds of umming and ahing he said Bruce Eva. The dump button was hit as he said Eva. Finey wasnt happy and said that its hard enough to write 20 questions each night, but if idiots like that ring in then they can stop the quiz and just do interviews with no callers.

Finey is pretty good most of the time, but he can be a bit overtly over-sensitive at times (and does make you wonder if the Finey/Eva rumours are true, suffice to say I would be surprised if the two blokes are still friends) ..

But to be fair, at least Finey most of the time lets listeners have a fair go on the radio, and generally doesn't cut them off, unless they something slanderous or offensive etc ...

It wasn't funny the first time, and it isn't funny now, after like the 1000th time.

BTW Right now my fave caller is Christian From Mt Eliza ..
Just such a great caller with an fantastic and bizarre sense of humour ..

To SEN Management, can you see to it that that peanut Billy from Heidelberg never goes to air again? I mean, good on him knowing how to use a telephone given his limited mental capacity, and he should be commended for being toilet trained (I'm assuming), but put a quota on him or something. And he's a Richmond supporter too, which is understandable given that being dropped on his head as a kid explains all of his obvious problems.

Too True. Billy is getting as tedious as Ol' Davey boy,who BTW is now claiming Irish,Scottish,English,and of course Chinese history.

Yeah, that one comes out about once a month and I always get a good laugh out of it. I remember one night Finey asked "Ranjid who was a test cricketer for India?" and the caller answered Bruce Eva. Finey went silent for a couple of seconds before mentioning that the caller was a smartarse.

geez his callers have got a good sense of humour, would love to know if it was anyone on bigfooty.
my mate got on dorans quiz last year and got stumped on a racing question, got the countdown put on him and as a last resort the prick said my name. i was driving at the time and almost went off the road.

Last night's GBU crew show was pretty good (I believe Ben C here rang up as well )

Gotta love hearing Robbie Flower on the radio, he actually had a great and decent and surprising sense of humour

BTW I still don't know what kind of drugs Stephen Milne is on, god that guy is constantly hypo !!!

They need more guests in to make the show a bit more interesting. Every week it's just Milney screaming and saying "OOHHOHOH THE CREEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!! Who's your favourite number [insert number here] Wayne?" then Zantuck chimes in with "The bearded Gary Baker!". It was funny early on but boy is this a tired routine (and show) - the format needs a shake up.

I stayed in the car to hear the Francis-Eddie showdown, boy was that great radio. Eddie never really addressed Francis' questions, good on Frank for sticking to his guns and not being intimidated by the great man. Had to love Frank's response to Eddie's "before you wet your pants" - something along the lines of "how dare you accuse me of incontinence".

hope bp can commentate on some sen footy matches this season

BP is great and funny as hell. The ratings are only supplied until 12mid. We can assume BP would have rated a 75 share, though.

Give the kid a break. I think he is only 18 or 19 and just getting started in the industry, I'm sure he will improve. BP is a great radio broadcaster, it would be good if he got given a go at commentating or put on SEN during the day, maybe a spot with Doran a couple of times a week.

Just go to your local RSL they go all around metro melbourne during the season at Friday Lunchtime. I beleive they were at Frankston RSL today.

I not sure, but I dont think he is even that yet!....I heard somewhere he is only 16...if that is the case, this kid is a real talent! Even 18/19 is still very young......Damn sure most of us couldn't do what he is doing.....Way to go James!!....You are doing a top job..

Agreed with you. I might be out on the sen big footy limb but Liam pickering has a severe conflict of interest when speaking about ''one of his boys'' Daniel Wells. People are critical of wells for not having made the most of his god given talent not holding him solely accountable for the loss last Monday, Pickering completely misses the pointHe is to matey with the players,and dare I say it a conflict of interest?

IMO Pickering has the biggest conflict of interest out of any of the commentators in the game even bigger than Eddie calling Collingwood games. Because as a special comments guy, especially one on the radio, you have to be critical of players. He is often critical of some players but pulls back on others. If Eddie at any time spruiks about Collingwood during his commentating people will pull him up on it and it is pretty obvious. With Pickering it isn't so transparent.

Tell ya what shits me about SEN programming: The Four Diegos.

Namely the fact that it's on 4 nights a week. When I want to listen to it, great, when I don't, it's the last thing I want to hear.

It would be far better if they did 10-midnight on Monday night to discuss the weekend results, and 10-midnight on Thursday night to discuss midweek European matches and the upcoming weekend.

Then put something else on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I don't mind 4 hours being devoted to soccer, but there is no need for a soccer show every night.

The Four Diegos shit me, but for different reasons. Namely they spend so much time talking shit or just talking about the EPL and Liverpool.

There is a need for a weekly Football (read Soccer) show, I just wish they could have some serious discussion about all things Football.
