Yeah I was being pretty conservative actually, could also shorten it to about season 8 and before. I think their peak was probably seasons 3-8.

When ACDC released their latest album in 2008 a few mates told me it was rubbish. From my perspective, even though it may not have been as good as their older stuff, it was still a good album in it's own right and still better than other stuff being released at the time.

I see modern Simpsons in the same way. It will never live up to it's own legacy but that doesn't mean it isn't still funny and entertaining.
