I quit two years ago. Easy as. Just stopped on 6th February 2007 and haven't had one since.

But I'm stronger than you, both mentally and physically. You'll start again soon enough. Try gum or patches.

I've never really been tempted to smoke again, but there's a new anti-smoking advert out here at the moment. A young woman lights up a cigarette, the narrator then tells of a selection of the chemicals that are in the cigarette, as he does the cigarette becomes a test tube.

The thing is, the test tube bubbles & smokes and the young lady breathes it in......and it looks exactly like she's smoking an ice pipe. Pretty insensitive I reckon, as someone who has had a mild battle with the pipe it makes my silly brain itch for a bit of brain-rotting meth. But luckily, it is fairly rare to see ice in this part of the world, everyone doses themselves up on cheap pills and rubbish coke.

For a bloke off meth, you don't half go off on some tangents.

I used to smoke a pack a day and haven't had one since December 16. I am finding it much easier than I thought.

Someone remind me why people smoke?

Because it makes them look so "rad".

Nothing cooler than having a death stick hanging out of your mouth, really.

Someone remind me why people smoke?

To impress girls :thumbsu:

They love it when I tell them a amusing anecdote, draw back a lungful of smoke and no-sell the urge to cough. They're fluttering their eyelashes and playing with their hair in no time :thumbsu:

Or maybe they just like my leather pants.

Put that shit away man, seriously.

You will regret it later in life.
Yeah I know. I want to stop soon, but then I dont. It's a weird feeling. It will hit me when something tragic happens. I've been smoking for a year now and can start to feel the effects.

If I wanted to quit I could quite easily I can smoke a pack a day for 3 months and then stop for 6 months I just CBF quitting.

Well that's good, real good, because I have a tobacco factory down here and I am never short of stock.

I also make cheese. You can snack on that also.

Ah! A man of many talents.

Not unlike my last tobacconist. He too provided me with a cheese of his own making; his service and preparation were unique to his profession. He liked to store his cheese in a warm crevasse and have me suck it out, in its liquid state, via a straw. It was an uncomfortable but rewarding experience.
