Wow.. Worst post ever!

1. We HATE free kicks. We DONT want them. They slow us down, allows opposition players to get back in position, and we have no one dangerous from them. Why the **** would we depend on them?

2. We don't pass and HOLD IT as you seem to think. We move the ball around to find the space. Since Real parked the world most expensive bus, it was nearly impossible to find that space, and we just had to pass around and wait for something to happen. If we were playing a real team then the play would have flowed much better.

3. If that was true, then why are Madrid, probably the most expensive squad in the world, not able to win it? Is Messi really THAT good? Or are you maybe being an idiot?

4. Finally, just because no foul was called on that tackle in the EPL, doesn't mean it is the right decision. I don't understand what your point is anyway. Are you saying that this referee was right, and that football should be played like that? Because you apparently thought yourself that the tackle was bad enough for Reo Coker to get sued for. Surely if something on the football field is bad enough to warrant getting sued over, it is bad enough to be called a foul/card? Hypocrite much?

1. Read my response to Kompany

2. You pass and hold it. Get over it

3. Messi is better then that good. Cant believe I ever thought Ronaldo was in his ballpark, how foolish was i. Messi > all

4. Im saying fouls are determined by which team you play for in every part of the sport. That was my example. EPL refereeing is terrible but atleast they allow you to defend. As i said refereeing needs to be run by a world governing body with a ref able to go to La Liga to EPL next week and give us a consistent interpretation of the rules. Until this happens Man U will verse Barca year in year out for this Who Cares cup

And now all the conspiracy theories come out. Apollo about the refs and Embers about ... West Ham (wtf?).

And if Mourinho managed to come back from here I would be well and truly amazed. The most important player to his plan is suspended and won't be there to be the marauding midfielder that has seen him dominate 2 1/2 games. Xabi has also been utter tripe. I actually would've started Khedira over Xabi this morning if Khedira was fit... and that's saying something because Khedira is shit. But Xabi has been more anonymous than the internet hackers that attacked the Playstation Network.

If I understand correctly, Shit Idiot Air Blower is also suspended (but not seeing any confirmation anywhere).

1. If Barca don't like free kicks then why do you continually fall over? every 5 minute you act like little girls? It's so bad. I vomit 8 times a game, thats how bad it is. My room is covered in barca vomit.

2. About 40 a game you pass among your back 4 then kick back to the keeper... is the keeper going to find space? really? the keeper? You hold it, thats your game plan. End Of.

And i'm a Man United supporter who used to like watching Barca.

This match just shows how pathetic Spanish football is. Two great footballing teams who would rather roll around, chase after refs, and kick each other than actually play.

Sure Barca had all the ball but they never did anything with it until Pepe was (incorrectly) red carded. Only Affelay wanted to play and once Pepe was off Messi was freed up to play too. Xavi may be a ******** but was at least trying to play for most of the match as well, although he is a ref chaser as well. The rest of them were pathetic.

Both teams lose equal respect today IMO.

First of all, why do you continue watching us?

Secondly, yes, passing back to the keeper helps finding space. The team passes back to the keeper when the opposition do a forward press, which means going back to Valdes allows the switch to the other side, which will now have more open spaces as the forwards who are chasing after the ball are out of position.

yep not liking players cheating to have others get sent off, faking injuries, verbally raping referees and excessive diving is obviously evidence of someone who has no idea about the game.

you must be disappointed in the conduct of your players mate. I could draw a parallel in a different context but some of you might whinge but the most appropriate descriptive.

Perfectly said, when it was 11 vs 11, Barcelona had no answer to Madrid’s defense and were content passing the ball around their half. They did so, because they feared Madrid’s counter attack and were happy to play for a draw. Of course, Madrid will park the bus when the other team is playing keepings off; most teams would have done the same. Barcelona were just holding the ball at times. Messi and Co were no were too been seen until the red card.

It’s disgusting and disappointing that Barcelona could possibly win other UCL title that was tainted in controversy much like their 08/09 “win” over Chelsea. So much for the greatest team of all time talk

im a big fan of barca, their achievements in recent years speak for themselves and the football they play at times is glorious to watch. they deserve their standing as one of the great teams in history.

however its getting more and more difficult to watch barca games now. whilst both sides lowered their colours in terms of sportsmanship at times this morning, the constant crowding/rushing of the ref from barca players is distasteful and quite frankly disgraceful. yes every team in some shape or form try to influence the referees. but barca take it to a whole new level....seemingly they now feel they have the right to dictate what disciplinary action the ref should also take against the opposition by waving/gesturing their hands to 'give a yellow card'. quite often you'll see players rush from 20-30 metres away (like valdes) to shout their opinion to the ref, when they had nothing to do with the foul or incident in question

as i said, barca deserve to be admired and respected for the football they play, when they actually play football.

but for the other theatrics and drama, faking injuries to get a card issued for the opposition, and the blatant crowding of the ref - something surely needs to be done to stamp out this disgraceful behavior from the game.

just play the game - a category that barcelona is just about peerless in

i for one will be firstly hoping for a madrid miracle in the return leg, or if not for man utd to win the trophy in wembley

Good luck Manchester United

Hopefully the Red Devils will not be pillaged by the Referee and UEFA come final time at Wembley.

Barcelona will walk all over United, they are a class below Barca. Apart from Chelsea, United have played absolute toilet on their path to the CL final. They will be in for a big shock when they play Barca.

Oh, and I fully endorse any cheating/blatantly wrong decisions that Barcelona will get in the final, United get enough leg ups for free in the EPL. I hope Messi blatantly punches the winning goal in the back of the net and is allowed by the ref.

Am I supposed to be disappointed Alves exaggerated his pain after Pepe went in stretched leg and studs up on his knee? Am I supposed to feel embarassed Pedro grabbed his leg after Marcelo clearly (and presumably deliberate, as the two had been in an argument not long before) stood on his leg? Am I supposed to disapprove of Busquets for grabbing his face after Adebayor goes in like a wild fool with both arms fully stretched straight at his head? Oh please

I don't approve of diving and simulating, but what do you expect me to do? Cry about it? Stop supporting my team because some players do it? Ramos was whingeing yesterday, but he and Marcelo did exactly the same thing when they helped (= made it more obvious to the ref, which is largely what some of our players do) to get Crouch sent off in the previous round. Real can complain all they want, but none of them said anything when Marcelo deliberately went over Alves' leg to win them that penalty 12 days ago.

It's very very simple. If Real had played a 100% fair game yesterday in perfect sportsmanship, no Barcelona players would've had to exaggerate injuries. But that's not what happens out there. What happens is that most Real players were playing on and over the edge of what is allowed, by playing hard (which is fair) but they also consistently cross that line by numerous nasty little fouls - body checks which are not allowed but hardly ever get given as a foul, little kicks everywhere... That is cheating and nothing but cheating. Yet somehow you think that's "normal" and acceptable, while if Barcelona tries to fight back against these tactics with their own weapons (they can't answer with the whole team playing dirty themselves - what would the point of that be when they're in possession of the ball most of the time anyway? - so they need to make fouls more obvious in order for the ref to act), you're all up in arms. That's double standards and you've always had those.

None of us Barcelona fans want to see Busquets grab his face (I laughed at him as much as anyone else for doing that against Inter - look up the old thread and you'll see me posting several photos taking the piss out of him), but what you oh so conveniently forget is that if the opponent doesn't raise his arm towards his face, he will never need to do this anyway.

Now as usual, you'll completely disregard what I've written, and in a few weeks time, and next season, you'll have your same old rants again. Whatever rocks your boat :thumbsu:

Which parts of my post is wrong?

The part where you said there were 2 teams that didn't want to play, the part that that is somehow representative of Spanish football, the part that only Afellay wanted to play (I mean wtf ), and the part that Pepe was incorrectly redcarded (was disputable, but the red card offence was there).

That really makes you look as if you don't understand how the game is played. Barcelona wanted nothing but to play yesterday - they just weren't able to because of the other team refusing to cross the halfway line. Remember Ronaldo waving his arms in complete frustration?

Hang on. So because Mourinho's team plays at home, without a single striker, with almost every player back in their own half, not trying to attack (apart from trying to win free kicks by diving) and further only waiting for a Barcelona player to make a wrong pass so they can counterattack....... means that Barcelona were happy to play for a draw?

A scoreless draw would've been shit for us! Guardiola didn't want that at all. All we did was keep our fullbacks at the back, so Real's wingers couldn't take advantage of the empty space. But apart from that we constantly tried to move forward.

Oh wow. He actually faked the entire thing. Did not think it was physically possible to swing the leg as far back and as quickly as he did but after more youtubing it seems that Pepe made no contact at all with Alves.

R.Madrid released a video proving this but I was skeptical, as the last thing they released was proven to be photoshopped. But a few other tv shows have shown the same footage. He actually faked the contact. As disappointed in Alves as I am, if he hadn't pulled out then he probably would've broken his leg given he was swinging in the opposition direction to where Pepe's studs were going.

If he gets banned by UEFA for two matches (Alves that is) I won't have any objections.

I honestly think UEFA need to take a stand NOW. They should ban Biscuits, Pedro, Alves, DiMaria, Ronaldo, and Marcelo for one week each. (Pepe is already banned).

Up there with the biggest load of bias tosh ever to have been written on Bigfooty. 2 Wrongs dont make a right, and what Barca continue to do is embarrassing to world football. The fact u try to defend playing acting, intimidation of the ref and downright cheating insults every single football fan.

barca might play the most "beautiful" football in the world, but i would never ever show it to a friend to make them like football.

Things getting interesting...

All from our site:

"Upon learning of the unprecedented decision by F. C. Barcelona to lodge a formal complaint against Real Madrid C. F. coach Jose Mourinho with the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body, Real Madrid C. F. announces that it is obligated to follow suit concerning the repeated unsportsmanlike behavior of F. C. Barcelona, whose players consistently feigned aggressions with the sole purpose of misleading the referee of the match, which clearly led to the unfair decision to dismiss our player Pepe.

It is surprising that this chain of unsportsmanlike conduct and unfortunate decisiones finally culminates in the lodging of a complaint against our coach Jose Mourinho who, beyond opinions based on his right to freedom of speech, expressed his objection to victory at any price and the violation of the principles of loyalty, integrity and sportsmanship established in Art. 7 of the Preamble of the Statutes of UEFA and Art. 5 of its Disciplinary Regulations, by which Real Madrid C. F. expresses its full support of its coach."

Also

"Much has been said and written concerning Pepe’s send-off against Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal, but an image speaks louder than words and video from Realmadrid TV clearly shows the player only touched the ball. Thirty minutes remained in the match and the referee sent Pepe off with a direct red card following a lose ball dispute between Alves and Pepe. The rest of the play has been publically scrutinized far and wide. Alves, who obviously appears to be in pain, abandons the pitch on a stretcher. After consulting with one of his assistants, German referee Wolfgang Stark shows Pepe the red card one minute after the play took place. Once he saw the decision made by the referee, Alves made his way back onto the pitch in full stride.

It wasn’t the only controversial play of the match, however. Arbeloa and Pedro were involved in another incident. Thirty-nine minutes into the first half, the Madridista defender blocked Barcelona forward’s running lane. There was shoulder-to-shoulder contact, but no aggressive intent. Pedro fell to the turf and clutched his face, and the entire Barcelona bench stood up to continue protesting for the foul.

An ugly gesture that appears to have become a constant. Look no further than the images of the incident between Marcelo and Busquets five minute earlier; another lose ball and again, the Barcelona player ends up on the turf. It wasn’t Alves this time, but Busquets. The dive is just as obvious as Marcelo’s expression of surprise. Marcelo protects the ball with his body and Busquets goes over the Madridista defender's back and blatantly falls to the floor with his hands over his face. Another unsportsmanlike gesture and more fuel to the fire for the referee to deal with. It lasted for 90 minutes as millions around the world watched on the small screen."

The sports world cries out

Rio Ferdinand: "This diving is a joke/embarrassing. When Pedro watches that do you think he'll think, "What was I doing!?" Rugby players must laugh at football. If you ever see me go off on a stretcher then run back on to play, I give everyone on here the green light to him me with a two-footed tackle."

Michael Owen: "Alves' actions won't please many as if he had got straight up it would have been a yellow card, but Barça fans will be happy with his actions."

Rory Mcilroy: "Dani Alves, you are a disgrace. Roll about on the floor just a bit more!"

Chad Ochocinco: "I can't believe they just gave Pepe a red card for that."

Below has the video in it.

Very unusual for this all to be put on the site, especially the quotes from people outside the club. I'm not sure who is writing the middle section, their is no writer listed, however section is an official announcment.

Nothing would please me more than doing Barca in if we get to the final and play them. They play great football but ffs why can't people just play football!

Oh come on. I know we have players that dive (alot).. but we TRY to play football. If teams want to take us on, we have no problems with some physicality, for the perfect example, just look at the games against Shaktar, or even the UCL final vs. ManU.

However, Jose doesn't play football. FFS, he has better players than Pelegrini had last year, and yet Pelegrini played a fantastic game against us at home and tbh we were lucky to win 1-0, why can't the so called second best team in the world do that?
