May happen this week it may not, but I hope we keep selecting the best possible team until it happens, there are enough kids in our best team anyway for us to be able to improve upon next year

i agree with that philosophy
i will be extremely happy, as long as we delist rubbish at end of year and stop "giving them chances to prove themselves"

if peverill, bolton, henneman, etc arent delisted or traded (unless last few rounds form warrants them to stay) - its A FARCE

cmon bombers...

you think we will win tonight dasawx?

I'm not holding my breathe, but I am an serial optimist and am confident we can at least put on a decent show and give them a run for their money. Hopefully Lovett has pulled his head in a bit because he can really make a difference to the forward line.

I'd be most certain Peverill and Henneman won't be back next year and Rioli will probably retire, never quite sure with Bolton, he's been good hear and there. I reckon Cartledge would have to show something very quickly or I'd be worried for him. Rama and Hirdy are hard, wouldn't be surprised if neither or both were back next year. We have to make room for probably 5 draft picks, a PSD pick and a promotion of Jolley.

DaSawx- dont mess around; Peverill Henneman Rioli Bolton Cartledge JJ Solomon Rama are not on the 2007 list. Hird has a free licence.

I'm not mucking around, there's a good chance JJ and Solly are on the list, we don't make the decisions, the club does, whether they are in the best 22 or play most weeks remains to be seen, but there is an excellent chance they will be there

You are mucking around if you want them on the list. They were good in their heyday, but are not measuring up now.

We'd be a better team with JJ and Solly on the list then with players picked in the 70's IMO.

We have to back a champion player like JJ and Solomon to have a solid pre-season and show they can find the footy consistently because there are worse players in line to get the chop than those two.

Maybe next years 70's, what about the lower picks from previous years who need to be exposed quickly. If JJ was a champion, where does that leave Hird?

They don't have to be exposed quickly, Lonergan and Lucy are both quite raw but have time on their hands, Sheedy will play them when they are ready.

JJ is a champion of the Essendon Football Club, that may or may not make him a champion in the overall history of the game, but a dual B&F winner is a champion of the club.

Everyone knows where Hird stands
