So Sissoko had a great Euros and was even some commentator's MOTM in the final. Perfect for us if we want to sell the useless lump, gives Rafa a strong hand to bargain from. And given Rafa has full control, you can bet the club won't bend over and accept anything less than whatever they feel is acceptable. Hopefully a bidding war ensues! :p
 
Issac Hayden joins the Rafalution! I'm starting to think Rafa stole the cheque book...:D

Sneak peek at our away and third kits. I think Puma have actually done well with all the kits this season! Been a while since we've had a set of good ones (would be better without the Wonga but maybe Rafa will fix that up in time too!).

Goals (all 6 of them) from our win over Bohemians on the weekend.

Check out Ritchie's in particular. Andros Toonsend who? :D

Mitro, Gayle, Thauvin, Aarons and Gini also scoring. Lascelles named captain for the match...wouldn't mind that permanently if he felt up to it.

Brilliant signing, a cut above the championship and a leader as well! Our squad is really really strong, if we don't win the Championship then I'll jump off the Westgate. I am really confident heading into the season.
 
Undefeated through preseason lads! Hope we can take that form into the season proper - starting this weekend!

Looking like Lascelles might be appointed the new captain as well - seems to have skippered throughout preseason.

Thauvin and Sissoko rumoured to be on their way out this week. Be sure to take Gouffran with you lads (to be fair to the Gouff, he scored in one of our matches and seems to have been given a few run outs by Rafa...maybe he'll be handy as a squad player with his pace and versatility?). :D

Tiote on the way out too I think. Confident about the season ahead. Looking forward to watching us against Fulham. Hopefully Collingwood have a nice win over Richmond and then the Toon have a nice win over Fulham ;)

Yeah and Rafa seems like he still wants a few more in too.

To be fair, the way the Tiges are traveling, I'd fully expect us to lose anyway. I just hope there is a Toon win in the morning to raise my spirits! :D

What do we need? Another CB? Another striker? I'd be happy with that I think. We've had a fairly good window so far, will be even better if we can extract maximum value from the Sissoko transfer, if we get anything more than 25m that's a huge win.

From what I think I've read - a CB (probably more for cover as I'd expect Lascelles, Mbemba and Hanley to all be vying for two spots plus we have Hayden, Gamez and Dummett who can all play there as well as that giant kid we signed from Celtic in the u21s.).

Another midfielder - especially if Sissoko and Tiote leave. Wish we still had Abeid...Maybe they can give Saivet a look in? Still have Shelvey, Colback, Hayden and Anita too.

I think Rafa also wants another winger/attacker who can play deadly passes, cut up defences and use pace. Aarons and Ritchie would be a good pair but Aarons is made of glass haha. If Thauvin goes, more depth and cover wouldn't be bad. Perez can play wide, plus there's also Gouffran and Ameobi...I think we were linked to some guy at Spurs as well as Knockaert who was unreal for Leicester when they were in the division.

To be honest, a striker wouldn't be bad either. Gayle, Perez and Mitro is a handy trio but Mitro has like a 4 game ban or something to start the season. Riviere could be depth (maybe he'll find his scoring boots in the league). Hopefully Armstrong can make the jump as well.

Janmaat has been decent this off season and seems no one wants him. If he stays, he'll be a handy option at RB. Him and Gamez would give us 2 good options plus Anita really impressed me in the run home last season.

We seem to be rolling in cash from player sales which is good at least. We could also look at loan signings too if they want to save some money for January.

Lots of sources saying we've activated the release clause for Diame from Hull. Very handy player when he's on. Would be a possible replacement for Sissoko I'd imagine.

Also. Aston Villa and Ireland defender Ciaran Clark is in negotiations with Newcastle after the player's £5m release clause was triggered by us on Monday.

So if reports are to believed, we've activated clauses for both Clark and Diame...

Clark I have some reservations about but if he's behind Lascelles, Mbemba and Hanley, won't be too much of an issue IMO. Especially if it weakens Villa's squad and strengthens our promotion chances.

Oh and on Sissoko. Seems Real might be leading the race for him and might offer us 2 promising youngsters on loan to reduce the transfer fee.
