Seems like a wind up? Didnt he go to Birmingham this season? Unless he has pulled his massive head right in, and stopped being a complete bellend, then he would be lucky to even get a gig back in the Prem. And if he has, then I doubt City would be interested....stranger things have happened I guess??

player 1002394832984921 to be linked to us. nothing in it. doubt we really have any plans for a reserves full of fake gangsters. otherwise we can go and get nile ranger too.

AC Milan reportedly looking at Krul...

At this rate, we will do well to fend off interest in our better players from bigger teams and keep the squad intact...

Or just pick up 35 million for them.

Well word is our owner has put a 25m asking price on most of our players so I guess if AC Milan or anyone else are willing to meet that price, I guess we could reinvest it into more bargain buys :D

Eriksson would probably suit spurs more because of better squad and a young coach.

Interested to hear your thoughts on why having a young coach is preferable? I know Rodgers is also a young man himself in coaching terms but I've personally never understood this, a quality manager is a quality manager regardless of age.

yep he was a twat and i'm glad he's not at United. at the end of the day, for all the promise he had, and still has, we can't have players with that attitude and self-arrogance. will fit in at city quite well though :thumbsu:

Yes, can you imagine United having an arrogant person playing for them. Or god forbid a twat.

We'll never see it happen I'm sure.

I think a young coach is preferable to a new player on the scene if the coaches job is stable because it means they will not have to work for a new coach any time soon. the point of difference is that Spurs may make the CL and probably have a better squad for him.

He's on loan at the moment (with Birmingham?) isn't he? Surely you wouldn't have any firm interest in him until he started playing in the PL.

FWIW there's no chance at all of us signing Morrison.

Also FWIW Ericksson hasn't ruled out signing for City, whether we'll be interested or not I'm not sure.

And if Cavani wants to leave, I reckon we'll have at least two vacancies for a good quality forward. Maybe even three.

I don't know about that, I don't think there's any correlation between the age of a manager and how long they spend at each club - unless you're talking about a manager in his 70's on the verge of retirement? I think the quality of the manager would be a far more important attribute than their age when a player is considering who he wants to work for - not that I'm suggesting Rodgers is a better manager than AVB, both have potential but I think they also still have a lot to prove at this point in their careers.

Perhaps, but it's not a huge gap, certainly not like comparing us to the likes of City or United. After a disappointing start to the season where we dropped the majority of our points (as we adjusted to the new system and after missing a few targets in the transfer window subsequently being forced to play a handful of 18 year olds on a weekly basis) our form line since November/December has equalled theirs and our recent win over them shows the squads aren't too far apart in my opinion. If we make a few quality additions over the summer it's certainly not a stretch of the imagination to think we could pass them next season.

I also think that Spurs will struggle to catch Chelsea and Arsenal before the end of the season so assuming that holds true and they don't make the CL, I think the biggest factor if there's a decision to be made between joining Liverpool or Spurs will come down to:

a) wages on offer (only need to look at Sigurdsson who had his bags packed and was ready to join Liverpool in the summer until Spurs doubled the wages we were offering)
b) how well each club can sell it's future to the player (ie other signings they could look forward to playing with).

The transfer moves (eg Sturridge and Coutinho) our revamped recruiting team (headed by ex-Man City recruiting chief David Fallows and his team of scouts) have made since November when it was established make me optimistic about the latter. Given Liverpool's superior financial power, they really don't have an excuse for not being able to recruit better players than teams like Tottenham who, to their credit, have done some fantastic work to compete with the bigger sides over the last few years given their significantly smaller revenue base.

We both have young managers. We have pretty similar squads, talent wise. If Spurs finish top 4 they can offer CL football. We can offer more money and a better everything else, history, fan base, future, stadium, facilities, etc etc :D

Voller was confident De Bruyne would be joining them in a temporary move that will cost them £2million and, as a consequence, reduce Chelsea’s outlay on Schurrle to £18million.
‘It was good to meet Chelsea officials, and the discussions went well, but no decision has been made yet,’ said Voller

If Spurs miss the CL and Real come calling for Bale, does he leave?

Tough one, Bale seems to love and enjoy playing for Spurs, but CL football is obviously a big factor for any top player.

I'd probably say yes, he does leave.

Quotes from Suarez's interview in today's Sunday Times:

On his future:
"I'll be here next season, yes."
"Not only am I playing for Liverpool, I am playing in one of the best leagues in the world."

Plenty of talk around KDB is going to be at the Bridge next season and not out on loan again. Excellent news if true.

Chelsea slowly but steadily pulling me towards the dark side :D

So what would your midfield look like then next season? I think it would only be wise to bring back KDB if he can get about the same number of games as Hazard got this season.
