No excuses and no spin for getting absolutely belted today.

Injuries - No
Lack of experienced players - No
Young bodies against strong, big opposition - Nup
Not being "up" for today's game - Given our build up in the media, er nup
Sydney people do not understand the game - still. Idiots, every last one of them.

Anyone who thinks we played like we did last week is wr wr wr wrong.
We won possession and showed a fierce attack on the ball last week.

Today was lamentable, players looked overawed all over the ground.

Being at the game today reminded me very much of a side that was 4 and 16 playing out the year.

It did not look good.

I thought we played exactly how we played last week, loose unaccountable footy. The difference is we're a much better team than Essendon and could afford to rely on them turning the ball over themselves with little pressure. Today we played loose unaccountable footy against a highly skilled team who NEVER turn the ball over if given space and they tore us a apart.

2nd half of last week = the first half of this week and as DW said it was just lucky for us that the Bombers were a poorer side than us and we had a 9 goal buffer.

last weeks irrelevant RT, Bombers are crap whilst syd are every bit a top 4 contender...we crashed badly, we struggle against sides that bottle it up and strangle the opposition the way syd and saints tend to do. will be interesting to see how we fare v crows as they aren't too dissimilar

The difference between the Crows and Swans is the Crows are out of form at present. And the way we played today would play them right back into form again.

Today wasn't anything like last week. Sydney are great at pressuring the ball carrier and under pressure, we fail to hit targets.

Foley had one effective possession to his name and that was his goal :o

Exactly. Watching the team today all over the ground, they looked at least as bad as Essendon in the 1st half.

We played much better in the second half last week than at any point in today's game
