He was brilliant, absolutely hilarious and had time for everyone. Our wedding wasn't very traditional so we didn't have an MC but he did introduce our speeches and first dance. I highly recommend him, although he did cost twice as much as other celebrants I contacted.MEB_ and HBF I understand you had Mike Larkan as your celebrant. I contacted him yesterday and had a good chat with him, seems like a cracking bloke. We're almost certain we're gonna go with him.
I guess my question to you guys is, would you recommend him? Pros/cons? Also, did he MC for you as well?
I would answer the door, say "trick" and then close the door on them.Same
Wouldn't answer it anyway lol
Yeah, he seemed to give off that vibe over the phone. He was pretty great. He was brilliant, absolutely hilarious and had time for everyone. Also, he was already booked the night od our wedding but made arrangements so he could fit us in after his first wedding too, so he's very accommodating.
He wrote a great ceremony for us, very light hearted and relaxed which is exactly what we wanted. If you meet up for a coffee with him he will talk your bloody ear off.Yeah, he seemed to give off that vibe over the phone. He was pretty great.
We're getting married at a winery, and after talking to Ms Cruyff she wants him MC too. He told us $1300 for the celebrant and an additional $1000 to MC. We're gonna try and get him down to $2000 to do both.
Still need to fill in all those forms and get them back to him, but I think he'll bring a lot to the occasion.
So glad that you guys had an incredibly positive experience.
Yeah, we need to organise that. Did you guys do your own vows? Did he meet closer to you, him, or kinda like CBD? Only time we'd be able to see him would be a weekend. He wrote a great ceremony for us, very light hearted and relaxed which is exactly what we wanted.
