Rainbow-spiked-hair1.jpg

I took my dad to the mall once to get him new shoes (he is 66). We decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him… the teenager had spiked hair in all different colors — blue, red, green and orange.

My dad kept staring at her. The teenager would keep looking and my dad would be staring every time. When the teenager had had enough, she sarcastically asked, “Whats the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?”

Knowing my dad, I quickly swallowed my food so I wouldn’t choke on his response — I knew he would have a good one.

In classic style he responded without batting an eyelid: “Got stoned once and f***** a parrot. Just wondering if you were my daughter.”

Getting a waist high ball on middle stump, connecting with the middle of the bat and depositing it over midwicket for 6 into the wind.

(Ignore the fact that I got out 3 balls later).

At first i thought you were using a euphemism for getting a ball in the groin and was wondering why it pleased you...

On topic, after 5 hours finally getting my new head unit working in my car.

Picked up my golf clubs Saturday. Played some awesome shots on some par 3s, still cant drive off the tee for shit though. Such a fun sport somehow.

Lol, took my brother with me yesterday, his first time playing. He's just called me telling me he's booked us in to play at Amstel (Cranbourne) tonight. **** me.

I was part of the Greg Norman inspired wave of new golfers in the 1980's, although it would be ten years since I last played. The one thing that stays with me from my time playing golf is that once a round you would hit a cracking shot and think **** me, where did that come from? When the very next shot you shank it two metres to the left. I can understand how people get hooked on it, it was just never my cup of tea.

You will like Amstel. Not a bad course at all.

I have had the highs and lows of golf in the last 2 weeks. Played my local 9 hole course about 6 times over the last 2 weeks. Tuesday night I shot one of my best scores ever. Par is 33 for the 9 holes and I shot a 38. I play 4 days later and have a stinker 47 :(

Well back out there again this week to try to get some form back. Damn this addictive bloody sport.

Yeah, I played once, lay by'd clubs the next week, picked em up a week later. Have hit some awesome shots with irons, but the driver i'm going to need practice on. Got about 3 foot away from the pin on a par 3, then stuffed the put and only made par, woulda been my first birdie lol. Hopefully will go alright tonight

Its always that one awesome shot I get that makes me come back.

I used to be terrible with my driver, so tried to avoid it and used my hybrid when I was teeing off on par 4s.
You need to learn how to use the driver though so you just need to stick at it untill you start getting it right.
I have been smoking the drives recently.

I was slicing alot and now that I keep my left elbow alot straighter throughout the whole swing I don't slice any more.

Observing posters who post consecutively after themselves. As if one post wasn't enough. To explain their adhd view.
Brave and sad outpourings are like a trademark.
Pleases me. I love comedy.
