Going on the posting about Christmas going on in the things that shit me thread:

Christmas is about 2 weeks away and I have not heard one carol so far this year.

When I used to work at Bunnings the loop of about 10 carols would start playing mid ****ing November and not stop till the new year. By this time of the year I was usually just about ready to go on a Grinch style rampage and burn down every Christmassy thing I come across.

I've never understood why they play carols at every single shopping venue. Surely there's no one out there thinking, 'gee I'd love to hear carols everywhere I walk for the next month'. I can't imagine how it would improve sales or anything like that either.

Or if you just want to learn before you spent $850 you could buy an older nikon DSLR for $200 or less. Say a D40, not great but will help you learn without a big investment. Or buy through something like Kogan.

Go through kogan way cheaper if you dont mind a grey import. D3200 for 489 with one lens, 600 odd with.2, or d3100 is like 400
