Springsteen is sort of getting to the Rolling Stones / The Who stage of his career where I sort of think "please stop making fools of yourselves, go away and leave me with the memories of how you were in the glory days".

They're shadows of what they used to be and besides, rocking pensioners just aren't cool.

You actually seen anything recently Caesar? He played his longest show ever this year (at 63), and he seems to only get better with age.

Definitely not making a fool of yourself if you've played over 80 shows worldwide.

I have a friend with a balcony veggie garden and she reckons she got 65kgs of produce from it this year. I wouldn't know what to do with the amount you'd get from a proper veggie patch.

A proper herb garden is something I really need to get off my arse and organise. It's just not practical to buy herbs every time you cook.

Piss easy to grow and you don't need much space, strangely enough this year, my basil is looking like shit and my coriander is thriving.

I'm just a bit worried that they'll get too much sun (the only place I could put them faces northwest and gets pretty bloody hot in summer).

I've got a little planter box with some parsley, chives and coriander but I'd really like a proper patch with rosemary, lemongrass, basil, thyme etc. as well.

Herb garden is a good idea for a thread I reckon. I would like to know how to do such things.

Coriander is great but always a little limp once it gets to your fridge via the supermarket shelf.

Would be good to have all the classics on hand. Basil, Oregano, Dill, Mint, Thyme.

Herbs please me :)

I just had the weekend from hell (house was invaded by interstate family members who think it's OK to all visit at once, despite all living near each other & it being a pain for everyone else). I am pleased that it is over.
Family come over to stay is good in theory but it always just ends up as a chore

WRT gardening, my little veggie patch was just trundling along for awhile until I decided to change my watering system. I now only water twice a week (three if it's a hot week) and completely soak the soil. Soak it until you think you've flooded it, let it drain away, and then soak it again. Do this for about 15-20 minutes.

It's called deep watering and it encourages root development and my patch is flying along now. The basil I bought from the supermarket that had almost completely wilted bounced back beautifully with this system and I harvested 3/4 of it last night for pesto and got a packed cup and a half.

Yeah when my Auntie comes over from America I pretty much say Hello, how are you and thats about it. I don't have anything against her but it's just I don't really have anything to say. Of course I am polite and everything though

Cruyff14 is the other ticket for the lovely lad you mentioned in a couple of other threads? ;)
No, they're both for me. I have two other tickets for my parents for the show in which I have a GA ticket, and a spare ticket which would have been mine had I not got a GA ticket. The spare ticket will be going to the "lovely lad", you mentioned, who is in fact a girl. lol
