Back in the "old days" I recall asking my mother why she was still putting an "in memory" notice in the paper for my dad 5 years after he died. I asked was it for her benefit or because she didn't want people thinking she had forgotten about him.

My mum slipped in to a state of depression and PTSD/OCD after she lost a son at 10 months.

My arrival was what got her back on track. People can definitely over grieve and self trigger bad mental issues. Sometimes it is necessary to have something to put you back on track.

Everyone is different, but everyone also has a personal tipping point.

Ok.

I think I'll :continue with my wrong pronunciation.

That's fine - according to the report Mr IKEA doesn't mind how people pronounce it either, he just wants them to enjoy the ikea experience

In true IKEA style the experience would involve putting together a flat pack trolley.

I might be upsetting a few people then. I lost my daughter last month but have made the decision to remove facebook from my phone.

We haven't been posting about our grief other than a few days after and a month after.

My sincere condolences to you and your wife. I can't even imagine what losing a child would be like and I hope I never have to  :(

Everybody deals with grief differently. If you find peace in remembering your daughter by posting on Facebook then so be it. If you don't, that's ok too.

Losing a loved one affects everybody differently.

I lost my pop during the week very suddenly and it sucks :( At present, I feel like I'm never going to get over it. I know that in time I will but at the moment, I'm just letting it all out.

Lean on your loved ones as much as you can and let them lean on you, especially your wife. If it wasn't for my family and One Eyed Sainter 66, I'd hate to think where I'd be at :(

May your daughter RIP Hawthorn United

My nose is constant tap today, walking around with tissue stuck in my nostrils

Same. I've felt a cold coming on the past couple of days and then last night when I got home from the WAFL it just hit me.

Flying out of town for a few days tomorrow. Wife says "be careful. I have a bad feeling about your safety". Thanks for that. Won't play on my mind at all.

Are you flying with Malaysia Airlines?
