I don't know how old this person is but some people have got to age 30 or 40 or older and never been told no.

I had a client (and not a particularly important one) email me after COB the Friday before the last long weekend, then had a sook that I didn't get back to him until the Tuesday.

Don't get me wrong I've done work on weekends and late at night before that was important, but some people just take the piss. The house being on fire or someone having a heart attack is an emergency. A water pipe bursting (assuming I can still turn if off at the mains) is a pretty big inconvenience. Some campaigner's TPS report does not even register.

I have made a conscious decision not to have Outlook or Teams on my phone. It's my phone (not a great one) not a company phone, and while I do WFH occasionally if I am not WFH then I am not WFH. I'm not commuting, then spending 8 hours in an office, and then refreshing my inbox at 9 o clock at night. **** that. I've noticed some people are pretty good at sending emails at 7am and 7pm "from my iPhone" but don't seem to achieve much in between.

I have music going when I'm out and about (walking the streets to the shops etc). Makes trips less boring.

I've played music on the bus (not EVERY trip but quite a few) to level out the engine noise that rattles my tinnitus.
