Saw a video today on Instagram and I regret logging in but had just woken up and some guy in the UK literally being racist to a foreigner and literally one comment after another praising the racist abuse. This is what Meta supports.

I'm seriously contemplating leaving both platforms and sending my hiking videos in on Youtube without the fanfare, the music and using it as a simple platform to archive my adventures.

I'm not finding any real value tbh. It's like 30% scrolling, 10% personal content, 60% probably the biggest resason I should get off.

Every day Meta platforms keep spiralling out of control.

Our local council now on Facebook has turned off commenting on posts because of racist and homophobic comments and just general abuse. The amount of casual racism and homophobia is rife on Facebook.

I took a step back today and looked deeper into the comments on Facebook. It probably started post 2020 at least what I noticed. Doesn't matter what video goes up, peoples lives are so ****ing pathetic that they argue literally everything, or put up some wise crack joke in an attempt to get a response. The worst are ones like "It all started.......click more or in other words the ones that get copied and pasted around.

Mali put up a video today about how the government is building a road and always numerous people complaining about everything they can think of other than the road.

I'm probably more pissed off with myself for not being able to escape properly. I guess this is what Meta pays big money for.
