No matter your age or experiences, what are things in life, or stories, which completely freak you out, or spook you to the enth degree?

For mine, the Frankston murders are something which I just cannot get over due to how inhumane and freakish they were. For a human to do such a thing, and to have people go missing like that is outrageous. I know it's a long time ago now, but for some reason, despite being extremely freaky, I find it intriuging. Does anyone have any theories on what happened in this case?

Decapitation murders freak me for some reason.

The thought of being alive and then having your head hacked off makes me squeamish and disbelieving.

Hostages in Iraq, some poor bloke on a Greyhound Bus in Canada and the Asian student at a US university last week. It's not only sick, it is just so bloody undignified for the victim.

Nats track? I live right near that. I doubt I'll ever go down the track. I've lived near it for 10 years and have never gone in it.

Like how they fly near the light and it just makes heaps of shadows. Really annoying. They're not that bad now, but I freaked out as a little kid when i saw em.

It's the first time I've heard that moths freak out quite an overwhelming number of people, well, at least on a forum. May I ask why?

Would've expected spiders to get a big mention. That's mine, BTW... and to a lesser degree - webs, particularly in thicker and large concentrations .

one of the worst things ive seen is a baby's coffin at a funeral, for a friends little one who passed away after a couple of weeks, the image of the tiny coffin really shook me

Whilst swimming on the weekend I was engulfed by a cloud of seaweed, freaky as shit, i was tangled up and everything. That said, im pretty freaked out by not knowing whats below me in murky water.

Yeah, thats a good one. I'm okay in the water most of the time but occasionally when you're out deep and the water is really calm you can't help but freak out about all the ****ed up shit that could be down there waiting to bite you.

That's so true.
Every time I see one of those clips and then go out and play sport a few hours later, it's always playing in the back of my mind. I'm especially conscious when I'm wrestling with some one or being tackled about making sure that my arms and legs are free.

Yeah. I have a similiar thing happen. Almost every matcvh I play at some point I will think to myself that this could be my last hour or so without a broken nose, or with all my teeth. Having said that though it doesn't really freak me out, its more just hanging out in the back of my mind.

I paid $1300 to have a tooth removed in day surgery...Seriously.

I agree. I watched some Iraq beheading videos years ago and really, really wish I hadn't. The whole...knowing what someone is doing to you, losing your own head...it's so ****ed up.

Also, like other said, MOTHS. I hate them. I jump more at a moth than any other insect.
