When I was a lad I believed that when the plug was pulled out of the bathtub there was a man under the drain sucking away all the water and if I didn't get out in time I would be sucked down the drain with all the water.

x3, except I was a lot older than six. Even these days when I think about the lives my grandparents lived, I always imagine their surroundings in black and white, even though logic says this couldn't have been the case.
Yep thought this as well!

When i asked my brother what a dirty word meant who always said "I'll tell you when you're older" yet when i got older i don't remember what those words were. Proably should have kept record of it.

I'd be surprised if there were ever any little kids over the last 30 to 40 years, who didn't think of real life before 1970, as being in black and white.

Even now I have to correct myself when looking at those black and white footy games from the 1960 and tell myself it was in color.

You don't speak for everybody
Perhaps he thinks he does because he's got a megaphone. I've learned that the only way to deal with people like that is to drive your car at them very fast.

I thought there was 60 cents to the dollar, just like there was 60 minutes to an hour. Was quite cut when I found out I didn't have the $10 I thought I had :(

I believed that to get ahead in life, all you needed was determination, dedication and hard work.

What a gyp.
