Ceramic plate... My goodness.
i have a $80 watch that ive been using for like 4 years. but i'd trade that for my xbox in one nanosecond.Lots of people do this, but it's probably quite rare for people my age (23).
I love watches. I won't spend more than 250ish on a night out, any amount of money on a playstation etc or 4-500 bucks on a TV or a smartphone like most gen Ys, but I'll happily drop a grand or 2 on a quality automatic watch that really takes my fancy.
Hell the other day I seriously considered buying a GMT master II 11670 BLNR before deciding against.
All this for a timepiece that is less accurate than a $10 quartz watch.

Well I really liked the Nintendo 64, I didn't mind the PS2 but didn't use it all that much and since then I've had absolutely no interest in buying one. A guy I used to live with was super into it and had a PS3 etc with plenty of games and he would take annual leave when a new game came out to sit there and play it for a week straight. It just didn't interest me in the slightest.i have a $80 watch that ive been using for like 4 years. but i'd trade that for my xbox in one nanosecond.![]()

Agree. People have told me that they eat Maccas in the same way. DA FAQ.
They also think it's extremely weird I place my maccas on a ceramic plate before I consume it but that's another story for another day Ig...![]()
Need a good watch if you want to have a good time.Lots of people do this, but it's probably quite rare for people my age (23).

Drink is always there if need. There is also coleslaw to be had during. Was specifically thinking of KFC as I posted, as I recently had this conversation with a mate while we enjoyed some fine KFC. He did what you do. Ate all his chips, then his burger, then had his drink.
It's wrong, damnit. Wrong!
What if you get thirsty while you eat?
My (daily) watch cost $70 and I've had it for 14 years.i have a $80 watch that ive been using for like 4 years. but i'd trade that for my xbox in one nanosecond.![]()

There's no point in having many things, other than for simple enjoyment.I googled that watch Simple Jack.
Turns out he likes more than just the "simple" things lol
If you don't hobnob with millionaires there's no point in having a Rolex, you'll probably just get mugged some day.
Get one of these instead

Clever. Very clever.I just put my hands on my face reading this.
Well, that went right over your head. Unsurprising.I think (or hope) he's joking

Lot's of people on average incomes spend the same amount on things I find ridiculous. It really is up to the individual.
Having said that I never even seriously considered a Rolex until I had lunch with someone in Italy who was wearing one (however her one was much more expensive than the one I want). It was visually striking even from a distance and up close was the most (visually at least) exquisitely made thing I've ever seen.
Each to their own really, kind of the purpose of this thread.
There are other things I would prefer to use that money for at this stage. That's the main reason. So what's holding you back then?
