It's odd they have prioritised this signing over Coniglio's. Just like Hawthorn last week announcing a number of signings after nothing for months (including extending Tom Mitchell another 2 years even though he still had 2 years to go), maybe everyone has their answer internally regarding if Cogs is going or staying.

I wouldn't say odd.

Cogs is obviously thinking over his future with the best contracts available to him from all offers.

While that's happening may as well get others ticked off.

Who's to say this was prioritised? They may simply have come to an agreement on terms first. More than one negotiation can be in progress at any given time.
