Considering the new craze of extremists hiring vans and trucks to run through big crowds, It seems to me that the GF parade would be an easy target. **** this world is stuffed.

Actually, this year Adelaide would have won the right to host it, nucklehead.
If GWS make the GF it becomes redundant for a GF parade through the streets of Melbourne. One day when two teams from WA or SA or NSW get to the same GF its going to be a joke to have a parade in Melbourne.

They would and less would show upI'm sure they'd have a parade in Adelaide as well if that was the case.

In 2015 I was hoping it was going to be WCE v Freo GF - think it would have been great. All of WA would have moved over for the weekBig money earner for City of Melbourne business.
Anyway WCE have played Sydney Swans in 2 GFs (2005 & 2006) so what's the difference? A lot of people like to travel to the GF no matter who is playing. I know somebody here in the West that goes to every GF and I'm sure there's plenty like him.Big money earner for City of Melbourne business.
Perhaps you could organise a few thousand hotel bookings, some airline flights and a few tickets by next weekend. Best of luck.
Line up the cattle trucks.Holiday in Melbourne. Visitors always welcome. Imagine there will be a strong Adelaide representation
If we had a Port vs Adelaide GF im pretty certain it would be more appropriate to have it here.
Even if ten thousand supporters from SA went to Melb for the GF it still is a VFL relic.
Cool. The wrong side of the tracks.Grand Final parade in Adelaide:

Until the AFL truely becomes a national comp like the NFL is for instance, catering to the Melbourne public will just continue. They can have a parade for the two teams from the VFL comp.I definitely see your point - but do you think it'd be more relevant if the big dance was at different stadiums and having it in the respective state?
I quite like it. Adds to the atmosphere surrounding Melbourne leading up to the game.
Looks like a Carlton home crowd.Grand Final parade in Adelaide:
