I think you guys have every right to push to get the best deal, I just think that he is not worth the No2 pick, he isn't a Judd (picks 3 and 20) or Carey (pick 4).

No.. IS in a different class entirely. 50+ goal per year players do not grow on trees.

Didn't knights kick around the 50 mark a couple of years back and he's now having to find another club, yes Tip$ is a totally different class of player but kicking 50 goals is not something to gauge a players total worth. I think Tippetts stock has been bolstered by a good midfield in a top 4 club. If he finds his way to GC then I don't expect him to do so well. If he gets a swans guernsey then it would be a complete fail if he doesn't kick 60+. Time will tell I guess.

In that case we might as well delist him now. He's an adequate ruckman - better than Jenkins, but not as good as Tippett. He's a poor forward and a diabolical defender. If he's not playing in ruck, then there's no case for selecting him at all.

Too Harsh. Smack is a big man. They take time. If we delist everyone who isn't a superstar who have we got for the future or if injuries occur. He is only 21 I believe which is very young for a player of his size. You have a too simplistic view of the situation.

Firstly.. ask the admins, they set the rules not the mods. Secondly, it's a PG13 site, not an Adults Only 18+ site. Thirdly that language is offensive to many people, including myself. It's also completely unnecessary. If you can't express yourself adequately without resorting to foul language then you need to grow up and expand your vocabulary.

Giles is certainly not the worst player going around & could be useful back-up option to Sauce ... but if we get Goringe, then there may not be the need.

He was drafted at the end of 2010 to GWS, so wasn't able to play AFL in 2011. There's a reason for a lack of 20ish games.

He was drafted to Port Adelaide in 2005, and would had to push Dean Brogan out of their side. Not playing in 4 years at Port.

20 games at 25 isn't a dead knoll. Ask Callinan, Sam Gibson, James Podsiadly, Orren Stephenson, etc.

I'm not suggesting he's a gun, but as an option to help ease Jacobs ruckload and as an emergency, I'd rather a 20 game seasoned AFL player than a 23 year old from the SANFL that hasn't ever played an AFL game.

It's all about the right cost.

It's on the cards given Gorringe wants to come home. GC can't fit in all their talls if Kurt signs with them. I don't believe it it in GC's interests to try & screw AFC over, because they are going to have many of the youngsters seeking trades this year & following ... & what comes around, goes around.

Knights' best return was 43 goals, back in 2009. Since then his body has been totally ruined by injury, with very little chance of him ever returning to his 2009 form.

The ability to kick 50+ goals in a season is a very good indicator of a player's quality as a forward. Adelaide have only had a handful of players who have ever kicked 50+ goals in a season - Modra, D Jarman, Burton, Welsh, Porps, Tippett and now Walker. Modra remains the only player to have done it on more than one occasion. Tippett was well on track to become the 2nd player to have multiple 50+ goal seasons, until his season was derailed by those concussions. I have no doubt that Walker will join Modra in that most elite group - and sooner rather than later. Any way you care to look at it, Tippett is in elite company as far as Adelaide's history is concerned.

I call it as I see it. What I see is a player who has the talent but not the burning desire. Without that desire we might as well get rid of him now, because we're just wasting our time. McKernan will never be an AFL footballer unless he can find a bit of mongrel, heart and desire, which has to come from deep within himself. I don't think it's there.
