Be nice to see the screenshots of the above

Sure. I believe I'm not allowed to screenshot/directly quote from team boards, so I'll just provide quotes:

This little campaigner is a grub but I think it runs deeper.

Bont one week, Neale the next.

Coincidence that he goes after opposition best player? Possible direction from Cameron?
They were given clear instructions to press right up to the line and that is by the coach
No doubt he planned to take Neale out... Leon Cameron had the same plan for Bont. It's the only way they could win both games was to play dirty

Guarantee he does it again this week ... I'm betting on Pendlebury or Treloar

Also, a nice little bonus quote from your board that I found while I was grabbing those for you:
I want to see Greene and Bartel and Leon Cameron seriously injured

Yuk, how embarrassing for all Bulldogs supporters. Your team lost, get over it. Now go away, and let those capable discuss the issue at hand.

Don't see any posts saying that the coach told Greene to attack people's faces?

We know we lost, GWS were better on the day. Simple, nobody is denying that. People have the right to call out the grubs

So you're saying the AFL is in such a state that one player is absolutely indispensable to the league?
I am saying that he is an incredibly good player that needs to be pulled up and penalised when he steps over the line. There’s a reason GWS won on Saturday night. He plays on the edge, plays incredibly well and like all players is at the mercy of the tribunal should he offend.

If he gets off (and he most likely will) he will cause Collingwood a heap of headaches and most likely play on the edge again. It’s not like he is just a sniper, he gets 30 touches and kicks 2-3 goals as well. I think he is a bit silly for getting himself in hot water again, but I don’t think the AFL should do away with this kind of player.

The AFL is better served by sorting out the ridiculous inconsistencies at the tribunal and the week to week rule changes impacting the game. Right now GWS are well poised to make their maiden GF and I personally can’t wait for the look on Eddies face if it happens, and the endless anti GWS and Toby Greene melts that will come from the VFL conspiracy theorists on how GWS are ‘cheating’.

Playing well doesn't mean you are allowed to attack the face of defenceless opposition players.

We don't need this in the game. Players of Greene's type are surplus to requirements.

I didn’t say he is allowed to do those things, in fact I quite clearly stated it;
‘Like all players is at the mercy of the tribunal should he offend’.

You don’t get to make the call that a player is surplus to requirements because you don’t like his behaviour, it’s up to the tribunal to punish accordingly.

I felt that the Bontempelli incident was worthy of a week, maybe even 2, but I don’t think what he did to Neale was worse. If he was fined $7,500 for the Bontempelli incident he should be fined half that for the Neale incident. I mean come on, the tribunal has cheapened itself and has been made to look like a faux tough governing body of regulations by offering a week to Greene for this. Where is the consistency? Why can Ablett receive no punishment for elbows to the head of two players earlier in the year and Greene (whom Neale claimed only felt contact on the nose) miss a game?

Christian is getting told what to do by the AFL or he is incompetent.

Thanks for confirming your agenda as to why you want Greene off, I'm sure you speak for others in this thread as to why they are also hoping against hope that a serial eye gouger gets cleared. :thumbsu: A bit of awareness please, it's got nothing to do with any sort of morals or decency upheld at the tribunal.

‘Agenda’. Yes because I come on to a chat forum with an ‘agenda’. You’re clearly not even looking at the facts; fined $7,500 for a serious incident re Bontempelli, given a week for an offence where his victim claimed he only felt contact to the nose.

Yeah, and I’ve got an agenda.

Basically you outed yourself in the paragraph I quoted in bold previously, thanks for that.
I cannot be ****ed arguing with you, as there's a whole lot of other facts you leave out such as Greene's guilty plea to the charge and then commiting the same offense the following week or his 17 other offenses, but hey, we all knew why you want him to get off, you just outed youself and again thanks for that.

You don't give a **** about consistency at the tribunal if this was JDG and Collingwood you'd be parroting the case for him to get rubbed out, and you'd be right, but fortunately JDG isn't a grub like Greene.

They should classify it as gouging again and send him straight to the tribunal. That didn't generate the desired outcome though, so let's get around it by changing the classification. Classic AFL.

He'll argue it was unintentional and get off.
He might get off but I don't see how it could possibly be classified as accidental. Every part of the action was deliberate. The eye gouging couldn't be sustained because of inconclusive footage. That doesn't mean it wasn't otherwise an offense worthy of suspension. They got the charge and the decision wrong last week. That's no reason to get it wrong again. If he gets off with a fine again (at least 50% chance IMO) then that says very clearly that you can deliberately try and hurt someone's face in a pack wrestle as long as you don't eye gouge and it isn't serious enough to be suspended. Jumper punch someone and get a week but deliberately target the face and it's just a fine.

If you think I ousted myself by saying the AFL is best served by sorting out the tribunal inconsistencies then you’re argument is all at sea my friend.

1. He pled guilty and was punished. Point?
2. The offence he committed against Neale was not conclusive of eye gouging.
3. What do his 17 other offences have to do with this? Punished and served. Not relevant.

Huge generalisation re De Goey. Huge. Literally just put a whole paragraph in my mouth when I have never mentioned De Goey being punished for the same incident should it have happened in your fictional imaginative haze designed to suit your argument.

When people put words in others mouths and then try to peddle an argument against them, they peddle a case with no facts and only fiction. You sir, are lost.

Why can't last week have been an error and this week be correct. Do we need to be consistently wrong for people to be happy.

Cameron said on radio that they are two separate incidents and unrelated.

Personally, can't stand him but doubling the fine from last week is sufficient.

A choir boy comapred to Toby Greene, and know he hasn't eye gouged his opponent in consecutive weeks and it's going to be pretty audacious of team GWS having pleaded guilty last week to storm in with a chip on their shoulder this week, obviously.
How exactly is it audacious to defend him at the tribunal when there’s evidence of from Fagan stating that Neale told him that contact was with that nose?

Should give him his money back and give him a two-week ban?

Eye gouged? Neither has Greene.

Can you please show us the footage of where Greene eye gouged his opponents (that’s plural) in consecutive weeks?

The nose is pretty close to the eyes region, and he can be seen poking Neale in the eye anyway.
