Everyone saying a week is fair... if your teams best player did that and got suspended for a prelim can you honestly say you would be accepting of the decision? Try and take out all bias. I would be ropable if Grundy missed the prelim because of that

If Grundy did do this and had Greene's reputation I'd expect he'd have been rubbed out for the Brisbane game and GWS season would be done.

Proabably did have an agenda last week to get Greene off, then he went and made of fool out of the tribunal/AFL and went and done the same thing.

I thought he would be 100% gone last week. Simply no reason to play around with someone’s face when they are vulnerable on the ground.

This sort of stuff deserves bans 10 times more than a dangerous tackle or a bump. It should be all about INTENT and the AFL really needs to tweak the review panel guidelines to reflect this.

The fact that Greene did ‘play around’ with a vulnerable player’s face on the ground one week after being hugely let off makes a mockery of the afl review system and shows the fine/warning was useless.

Forget about looking at the Greene-Neale footage in isolation and forget about the current rules, in PRINCIPLE Greene should absolutely get a suspension, simply to teach him and others to stop doing or not do this sort of stuff. It should be banned from the game and it’s a very easy thing to avoid (unlike a dangerous tackle), simply don’t go and roughen players on the ground playing with their heads/faces.

Also, you’d have to be very naive to think that it’s a coincidence he did it to the opposition’s best player two weeks in a row. That shows clear intent.

Difference is Grundy and most normal AFL players don't do that. Greene has some serious issues.

I played over 300 high level senior games without finding the need to squirrel grip, kick, spit or eye gouge. Several opponents suffered sun stroke but ...., Sure 98% of players would be in the same boat.

I'd rather cop some 'unnecessary contact to the face' than get king hit off the ball.

Hawkins and Greene getting the same penalty is just mind boggling.

You have to remember it went straight the tribunal so Chrisso also felt that way, the tribunal didn't. This time he wasn't making the same mistake

Love child? The same love child that consistently gets over-punished for any indiscretions. The love child that always gets the worst fixtures and consistently lose free kick counts (particularly in important games)...no noise of affirmation to protect us.

Your club has a hashtag #freekickdogs and is very proficient at leeching revenue from AFL coffers with the “poor me” houso attitude.
