Similar. How would you compare him to Parfitt
So much so I was wondering whether they can both fit into our setup but Atkin’s proven versatility allows him to fill other holes.
Parfitt seems to be midfield or bust..

Next captain
I don’t know whether Stewart really wants it. But you are probably right. Atkins is a smoky a la Tom Harley. Stay tuned.Stewart

What Atkins showed in the last qt is what you want from a captain, it was Selwood likeCould really see that happening
Atkins is the one who's really stood up this year and taken the next step with his game when the pressure is one - he was captain of the VFL team, so leadership isn't foreign to him

After that last quarter today it might be time to head over to the ‘I was wrong’ thread. Don’t worry, most of us have been therelol, the hype over this bloke is beyond anything I ever seen to date.
I know Shannon Neale garners praise usually only reserved for no.1 picks but Atkins is off the charts.
He's averaging 18½ touches, 8 of them contested possessions, 5½ tackles. He's a 27 year old journeyman. He's had a decent season to date but the hyperbole is a bit rich.

Actually had the same thought last night. And the way he spoke after the game.Could really see that happening
