Completely clueless. Use your hands, mate.

Nope. Griffen wanting out to GWS definitely came first
All good, I try to be perfect but never manage.it. My memory let me down
I accept I got it wrong, and thank you both . In that case didn't the bulldogs agree to pay Griffen's contract when he came across?

I believe we agreed to pay him for his contracted period with us, as he had a year to run on his Bulldogs contract. Helped us meet the salary cap.

The trade was
Boyd
For
Griff
A mill in cap space
Marchbank pick.

We are ahead at the moment. Could easily change.

Depends on how and what Griff March and Boyd all do for the next few years.

Ok but not sure how. If Boyd didn't want to play for us, my opinion remains we are better off, regardless. Get Marchbank's future matters, but if in the end he wants to go I would again believes he is better off going. Not assuming he will want to go.

I'm happy to accept when I am wrong but you need to accept people will have different views. Isnt that what the forums are about?

I would think that the next few years doesn't mean as much as the next 10... Especially for us.

Worst trade this decade. GWS are laughing
Except for the fact one Boyd announced his intentions to come to the Dogs the Saints offered him a similar contract and were scrambling to find the appropriate trade assets to outbid the Dogs.

How does that make the trade any better? Saints would be laughing too at dodging a $7 million bullet.

Absolutely hope he stays, he's a rare talent. Think he will. Agree with all the rest of your post

can we just clear something up ... what figure are we assuming Boyd is on per year?
It gets higher every time an aints, gws or norf poster brings it up. Will soon be 2mil a year.

6mil over 7 years with a bit of that performance based and a huge chunk of it being frontloaded this year bringing it back to a reasonable level when we will need the cap space more.

Top of my head.

1-10
Stringer, Bontempelli, Wood, Dahlhaus, Liberatore, Murphy, Morris, Hunter, Johannisen, M.Boyd,

11 - 20
Wallis, Macrae, Dickson, Picken, Suckling, Crameri, Stevens, Adams, Campbell, Daniel,

20 - 25
Biggs, Redpath, Roughead, T.Boyd, McLean
Man you guys have a good side.
