Let's use Bont for example. How do you reckon his manager feels knowing 1) the Dogs have cap space & 2) his client got paid probably 30% of what Boyd got paid this year?

Multiply that effect over the entire playing squad and there's going to be a lot of players whose managers will be asking for a pay rise.

I'm sure they've got a plan going forward and have greater insights into their own players and the salaries and what future deals may look like.

I was critical when the dogs did this deal signing a kid full of promise but unproven to a long hefty contract however he came of age this finals series and helped win thema flag. Based on what happened the last month he has repaid their path and the deal is now justified whatever he does for the rest of his career.
