Nah, we simply don't have room in the cap. Sucks to lose him, when he's on he's a game breaker. Love the bloke and hope he has a great career at the Saints.

If we need to use that first on Dean so be it, he seems pretty highly rated and aren't they tightening the rules on stockpiling later picks for points anyway? I can't keep up.

Hearing SoS is very keen on ol Harry. Fancy losing TDK and the compo goes on a FS, or it is diluted to lower picks in the shitest of drafts in 10 years.

Edit: Forgot the JSoS compo. If a bid came for Dean befouled the TDK compo, do they have to use it or can they use the points for JSOS and the 2nd?

Then that's bizarre. Saints would just walk way and we'd have to pay a ruckman 1.7-1.8M. If you match the contract offer on a RFA you have to pay it. You can't back out.

I mean that sounds a bit "conspiracy theory" but it's hard to explain otherwise, maybe you're right.

TDK had a purple patch in 2024, looked really good for maybe half a season?

Otherwise he is a promising tall utility, athletic ruck who doesn't win that much ruck, tall who isn't a terrible matk and forward who doesn't score that many goals. Less than a million a year surely.

Players are worth what the market will pay, but the market for TDK does seem to be distorted.

Our club was mangled by some big egos on more than one occasion. The Richmond Collingwood poaching war nearly ended both clubs existence, that came down to a couple of blokes on either side taking things personally.

So this sort of thing has happened.

All eyes on Phillipou having a good year on good potential of getting squeezed out.
20% of cap for two players is irresponsible.

Might need to sit down for this one, but Pou is poised to sign an extension to 2030. Cap is absolutely fine. Enjoy the summer.
