Dekoning is the 2nd highest paid player in the league. Im sure the saints will pay him more when he activates a top 5 finish for the club.

Paying that amount for a player you hope will fulfil his potential at age 27 is not just risky, it's derelict.
Good luck to him, and I hope it works out for the saints' sake. However, I have serious doubts.

Especially when you spend it on a 26 year old with the following career accolades

Rucks are a consideration of coaches.

Ross rates them. Thinks all the good in a midfield starts from them.

His first half of this season is evidence to how good he can be.

The last 3 years of list management decisions have been very good by the saints and would be the stuff of dreams for the bombers to be run this way.

Only time will tell if this is good or bad.
