Arguing with stupid always frustrates me.

Throwing around the term “thug” when your own team has a history of them is pretty rich and goes to show you have a fish brain.

Won't be cited because there was no concussion but if Anderson did end up concussed from.hitting his head on the ground it would have been an interesting one.

We've established years ago there's no such thing as a perfectly-executed bump if a concussion ensues.

If a player is concussed it suggests the bump wasnt perfect.

Anderson wasnt concussed.

He was bumped in the side and below the shoulders with the ball rolling on the ground.

Would have winded him, rattled the rib cage in a big way and yes hurt him.

The only way Stewart is in trouble is excessive / unreasobable force. And in this instance IMO it wasnt excesive, two players running attacking a loose ball collide hip to midrift.

Doesn't look high to me but that doesn't matter. There's still a grading for body contact. Just a guess but I'd say 'careless', Medium impact to the body - Stewart won't contest it. So. that's a fine and a couple of bucks for the end of season trip.

Spin the chook lotto wheel on this one though. If Anderson's scans come back with any significant damage it will be upgraded to high impact, which is a week. And, if Cat's stupidly contest, it's 2.

Injury doesnt impact whether its graded high. Whether the hit was high determines whether it is graded high.

I'm interested to hear/know Wheatleys opinion on this one. He was very strong last week re Meeks incident that the player should be culpable for the head contact with the ground.

The line needs to be drawn at some point I guess we will find out in this case where it sits.

Sigh.... The ball was right there less than a metre away and he opted to bump and executed it to the letter of the rules.

The bump is still a legal part of our game when you choose to execute it correctly.

Executing a perfect bump is not “taking someone out”.

If this is your idea, then you probably are an advocate for the removal of the bump all together
