I'd love the survey 20 reputable QC's and Compensation Lawyers and ask them how they think the head injuries of retired AFL players with pan out in 20 years time and what position that will put the AFL in?

It will be 4 weeks 100% certain. Just enough to keep the Wolves at bay. Appeals will get it back to 3. Put a lazy hundred on it. In reality it however it should be at least 6. This Geelong based AFL bias is becoming an alarming concern..

Geelong won’t appeal any penalty. They’d be lynched if they did. And if he’s the great bloke we hear he is … which I’ve heard he is …. Tom Stewart wouldn’t allow it.

This is the part I am most angry about in the whole situation. Two stoppages (free kick and subsequent mark) wasn’t enough to stop play. Telling an unconscious player to move out of the protected zone wasn’t enough indication to stop play. The ball being kicked over medical staff tending to a player wasn’t enough to stop play. Regardless of what Balme or Richmond says it’s not up to the club to instigate the stoppage in play. The umpires have the ultimate duty of care. It’s lucky the Geelong bloke kicked forward rather than handball otherwise play would have been all over Prestia again.

Even today, the umpiring department giving themselves the tick of approval should be the ultimate indication something isn’t right.

If they have that prerogative, which they clearly do, then their non decision in this instance is negligent in their duty of care

The AFL is a disgrace to sign off on not stopping the game. Umpires have stopped games before for head injuries without a stretcher being called. Umpires have stopped games for any injuries when the ball is in the vicinity and the trainers are waving at the umpire. The AFL has its head so far up its own arse they simply cannot admit to ever getting anything wrong.

Not sure about that, It's hard to make out 100% what was said. What I do know is that Selwood is a Dog of a person, makes me ill to see him laugh, no care in the world says a lot about a person and I guess that's why he is pretty much hated by the wider AFL community.
