Right-wing authoritarians are people who have a high degree of willingness to submit to authorities they perceive as established and legitimate, who adhere to societal conventions and norms and who are hostile and punitive in their attitudes towards people who do not adhere to them. I'm not seeing any social equality or egalitarianism displayed by the left. If that is what the left is about, they wouldn't be trying to constantly silence those they disagree with. Surely free speech is central to social equality. Do you think the left must invariably shift to the right, after a ruling class has established itself? After they have established their position of authority they would then become the right in order to maintain it. Attacking political rivals (or any threats to their authority) is a common theme in both communism and fascism. Rather than being extreme ends of the political spectrum, they more likely sit at the same side, with the common theme being authoritarian rule and absence of democracy. The other end of the spectrum would be democracy with limited governmental powers, potentially devolving into anarchy.
As an example of what I mean, the chinese government is ostensibly communist, but I think fascist would be a more fitting term to describe it. And to the citizens who suffer under their rule, either term is pointless as the end result is the same.

You could apply this description to people who live under communism. I think the phrase "a bird born in a cage will think flying is an illness" best describes how people could act in the way you describe Right-wing authoritarianism whilst living under what would be considered left wing rule. I'm sure a lot of people thought the routine grind of daily life under communism was better than another revolution.

Yeah, its almost as if the actions and behaviour you're attributing to 'teh left' are actually those of some private companies and outliers on the fringe that aren't representative of, well, much at all really, let alone an entire political spectrum.
