No. It's an unwritten rule that when you're talking about albums you're talking about studio or live albums.

Best of and Greatest Hits is cheating. We should be recognising discreet bodies of work rather than bits and pieces from a number of bodies of work.

Meh fine then..i don't really care, if people want to include greatest hits then good for them. I'd prefer not to add them as i agree with you about it..but if other people want to then oh well.

I find myself listening more and more to live recordings and I have been listening to a heap of Springsteen from his recently completed acoustic tour. Some bloody fantastic stuff out there if you can find it.

Mostly agree, but live albums are essentially a greatest hits package too, especially the ones made up from various gigs as opposed to a single gig.
