With Fremantle losing and the Pies getting up top 4 is now secured. There is no way we can drop out.

Should we flirt with our form and rest a few players over the next 3 weeks or keep the pedal to the metal so to speak.

I dont want to see Swanny rested as he is a huge chance for the Brownlow and seems to have the engine to keep going.

Jolly should probably get a week off allowing Josh to reach 200 games which over the course of his career is well deserved.

Who else should be rested up?

I'd love to see Leroy rested against Essendon and Jolly against Adelaide. We don't really need Jolly against Adelaide given it's only Maric. A one week break should be a good freshener.

I also think that we give a few of the kids a rest. Sidey and Beams for example are only in their second year a footy and probably could do with a break. But I don't think we are in a bad position.

Oh, and Leon. Is he tired, or is he living a self fulfilling prophecy about big games? I hope its the former.

They can all have a break in the second week of finals...the whole team!

Winning the first week is the key though, which is pretty tough when half the side is buggered, as was the case last year. Swan apparently couldn't lie on one side, it was too painful. Don't underestimate how much this game would've taken out of them.

LMAO....absolutely cracker!! :D:D:D

Agree, rest Jolly for one of the next two games so they can get Frasers 200th over and done with.

ummm top place is almost secured for you guys with the remaining games you have left, kudos on the win btw.

I think it's a good idea to rest a few (especially over the next couple of weeks against the likes of Essendon and Adelaide) before a full strength return for the Hawks. It'd be good to see Fraser get his 200 and Tarks and Medhurst have another run around, as I'm not too confident any of these boys will be around in 2011.

I love congratulating the club on every "little step" we achieve, and this is the second step.

Step 1.; Secure a finals place DONE
Step 2; Secure a top 4 place DONE
Step 3; Secure top spot and the Mclelland Trophy; PENDING
Step 4; Win our first final, earning a week off; PENDING
Step 5; Win our prelim; PENDING
Step 6; Win the Grand Final; PENDING

You could call it the "6 steps to heaven", and at the moment 2 are down, done and dusted, with 4 remaining.:)

Would it be a good idea to start resting players from now onward? You'd want our major players to get a bit of ball time prior to first week of finals surely?
