Not really keen on Lobb eitherPossibly part of a package deal maybe? Lobb is fine but I don't really see him as someone that we absolutely need. He'd probably be done by the time Darcy comes good but he's just not a huge concern in my eyes.

Not sure even the $$$ would trump everything else.... There's more to life, etc, plus he has plenty of business ventures happening (afaik).

Tom Browne has said we have strong interest in Lobb

It would more likely be Naughton Lobb JUH. Lobb would come in for the forward ruck role and is an upgrade on Schache in both Bruce started his career as a defender maybe they’re looking at a switch thereOnly makes sense if the club thinks we need a forward-ruck in the mix. In any case I'm pretty confident that would mean JUH is out. I can't see them ever moving Naughton.
I do. He takes the second ruck/fwd role currently being filled by Schache.Lobb would have been perfect for this season knowing Bruce was going to be out most of the year and probably unlikely to contribute much in the ruck when he returns
Don't see the need for him next season unless Bruce has hinted he might call it a day
If we lost Dunkley and turned him into Lobb and Logue, whilst also acquiring Pearce as a free agent, I would be happy with that outcome. Obviously I want to keep Dunkley and think he will star anywhere he goes, but those three seriously solve some issues, issues that are greater than losing a midfielder.
Lobb would be an upgrade on what we have but I’m not sure it’s the best way to utilise limited resources we have. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to have Jamarra and Bruce fighting for a spot when really Jamarra should be able to hold down a best 22 spot next year hopefully and who knows with Bruce but I’d expect the club would be expecting 2 more good years out of Bruce, never know how someone will come back from a knee but he seems a pretty young 30 imoI do. He takes the second ruck/fwd role currently being filled by Schache.
We then have:
English in for Sweet
Lobb in for Schache
Bruce/Jamarra/Schache fight for the other spot.
Lobb clearly offers more as a forward/ruck than either Jamarra or Schache and I don’t love Bruce being relied upon with his age and the fact that he’s done a knee.
NoIs Lobb a free agent?

Considering we have a glaring hole at the other side of the ground just not sure that’s where we should be using our money/picks

Yeah that’s the thing, like I was saying before Bruce, Marra & Lobb forward and Naughty, Keath with Darcy coming through is pretttty nice on paper. But I just hate the thought of moving Naughty back considering how good he is, maybe when we get some indication that Marra is about to really come on then I’d feel more comfortable. I dunno Id just prefer to target a defender if that’s possible - but a ruck combo of English & Lobb is definitely worth considering. There's always the option of moving Naughton back.
Still firmly in the “it wouldn’t shock me if Naughton goes back” camp. Not saying I’d love it, but a forward line of Bruce, Lobb and Jamarra and backline of Naughton, Keath and Logue probably works a lot better than what we’re running with at the moment.Lobb would be an upgrade on what we have but I’m not sure it’s the best way to utilise limited resources we have. Probably. I don’t think Logue or Pearce are going anywhere for what it’s worth. Hopefully Boyd and Bob are working their magic thoughHaha I think taking Lobb, Logue and Pearce from the Dockers might be asking just a little too much![]()

Overpay on the draft pick to have Freo pick up $750k or that $1.5m.Jon Ralph just reported opposition clubs believe Lobb to the dogs is done. 1.5 million over 3 years
He mentioned he is currently on 750k a year but that the likely wage with us would be 500k a year for 3 years with us. I have no idea about his current contractual status. Just reporting what Jon Ralph said which was basically opposition clubs see no point as he will be at the dogs next year.Overpay on the draft pick to have Freo pick up $750k or that $1.5m.
They can't if he's out of contract.Overpay on the draft pick to have Freo pick up $750k or that $1.5m.
