Trade Talk

Hale to the GC could now depend of Krakeour to the Pie's.

If Collingwood cough up their first selection for Krakeour, I could easily see this on-traded to us for Hale.

It's the ideal pick, as it's not effected by any of the compensation picks.

Interesting.

DarkPhoenix. I thought I just heard that the Bulldogs have confirmed that Wallis and Liberatore are going to be dogs. Not 100%.

On Anthony, I would be taking McKinley any day of the week over Anthony. I'm still surprised Jack was drafted years back, a very good kick/set shot, but very limited upside compared to McKinley..

The trade chat absolutely infuriating again this year, you ask decent questions never having them pop up, yet crap like "Should the roos trade Lachie Hanson or keep him" pops up.

Someone on the trade boards, suggested to Steve Lavell, Lachie Hansen could be traded this week.

Steve replied, "The Roos should definitely keep him, Ken. Was surprised he didn't make the top 10 in their B&F. Showed a lot this year and needs to settle into the forward line now."

Yeah, As i said theyve been forced to commit their first 2 picks to keep them, rather than later picks.

Given how talented they are, it's hardly surprising clubs have done that.

Apparently was ALOT of interest for them, dont think the Bulldogs will be sorry they committed their first 2.

Not to mention josh hill for mitch clark seems like a fair trade.

Step away from the keyboard people.

Asked about Hale and Urqus, but was more interested in seeing if it was just Bryce there this year. looks like we have a few at the tables!

Steve Lavell:
Brad Scott, Donald McDonald, Bryce Lewis, Cam Joyce and Eugene Arocca are here for North, DanielG. Fair contingent! A Hale deal would need to be the right one. Former first-round pick and could be a very good ruckman. Has just fallen behind McIntosh and Goldstein at the Roos.

Hmmm now some essendon bloke suggesting Essendon should have to pay less than Hales worth if they target him cause they can play Bellchambers instead. Seriously people, thats not how trades work.

This may just be speculation, but I heard that both doggies recruits would have gone first round.

If Wallis was taken by the doggies first pick and
Liberatore with their second because,
port and sydney put forward their respective 1st and 2nd round picks

....I ask why didnt North or any other team put up their 1st rounder for libba?
Or was he just not worth that high a pick?

Cause theyre father son picks, GC could have offered Pick 1 for him and as long as Bulldogs matched it with their first round (could of been as late as pick 26) they still get him through FS rules.

I think, basically Port and Sydney took one for the rest of the AFL, meaning Dogs had to use their top two picks. Once they did, no one else can touch them I believe.

Ok thanks, so it means if Port offered 1st rd pick for wallis and sydney 1st rd pick for libba, then doggies can use rds 1 and 2 to acquire them

thanks
Cheers

Agree TennisplayerAndy. Unless they are very solid, consistant players or top of the range players don't trade for them . Let us develop our own and not just bring in fringe players, would prefer picks .

I agree that Lachie was stiff to miss out on top 10 in the B & F. No votes for the Collingwood game surprised me, he was very solid under an absolute barrage in defence.

Any flogs still suggesting we trade him should be banned from the internet.

Just wish he looked more serious out there, you know? It would make him a much better player.

Exactly. Collingwood needed a ruckman. They got Jolly.

I dont see any areas where we NEED to trade for a player. If tehre was one MAYBE another key backman. Maybe. But hoping Tarrant develops there.

Ruckmen- McIntosh, Goldstein
Defenders- Grima, Thompson, Macmillan, Rawlings, McMahon, Pratt, Tarrant
Mids- Ziebell, Swallow, Greenwood, Cunnington, Bastinac, Wells, Anthony, Adams, Ross, Lower, Urquhart
Forwards- Petrie, Hansen, Wright, Warren, Edwards, O'Keefe, Black

I see plenty of areas that can be improved, none of which will be by trading for fringe players from other clubs. All of which can be by coaching and learning and developing what we have.
