It makes me so happy that the club are actively trading and luring players there again. I know not everyone has the highest opinion of some of the guys we bring in, but I just get the feeling like the footy dept and recruiting staff have a clear idea of what the club needs to go forward and with the Malthouse name at CFC, we can actually impact the trade period.

The times I've seen Giles he sort of reminds me of Hale in that he looks a pretty good forward option. This was when GWS were getting thrashed every week so I don't have much to say in regard to his around the ground work and second efforts.

Jonathan Giles is a ruck on GWS's list.

I highly doubt we'll be trading FOR a ruck. Pick a young one up in the rookie draft. But Matty & Woody should be enough if Robbie leaves + the rookie we draft.

would be useful to have waiting in the wings no doubt, but he'd be worried about getting game time if he came to the blues. would probably sit behind a fit kreuzer/casboult duo, maybe ahead of wood. like wood though, looks much more adept at taking a contested mark.

In isolation he probably is but you need to take into account his salary, injury history and lack of opportunity. If Sydney are that desperate to offload his massive contract I would still try Garlett and our second.

General feeling is our first pick (6 or 7, whatever it is) on its own for Mitchell is 'overs'.

We have fringe players we could trade out, but I can't see too much interest from Sydney in any of them, though maybe Warnock at a stretch (lol.. stretch)

Would likely be second-round pick swapping that would have the BF Blues people happy.

Wont be Warnock as we just signed our rucks a few weeks back and we play resting mids as small forwards so I wont be a Garlett plus pick.

Mate, Mitchell has been playing in the 2s. Yarran just finished 4th in the B&F & Hendo is a future captain.

Pick 7 is fair enough. But asking for either of those players is just fantasy stuff.

Suggesting unrealistic trades isn't the best way to have a logical discussion about Mitchell's value

Fact is that Sydney need to free up some salary cap space and getting Michell off your books is imperative.
