Any club worth its salt will clean out its no hopers, from the doorman to the head trainer to the captain.
Keeping no hopers in these positions, or any other positions, is the mark of the non successful club.
You have to weed out these people who breed an atmosphere of non professionalism.
They are only there for the bloody joke, for the social life, for the prestige, they are not there to win.
Our club is built on the values of strength, courage, loyalty, honour and a strong sense of unity.

He's certainly pacier and has better skills. He can play on the wing as a hard running outside player. Height may be an issue but he seems to have enough strings for it to not be a major issue. Was meant to cement a spot in Hawthorn's starting 22 this year but has fallen short (no pun intended) again.

He did. Is that to be expected in the future or was it a one-off? I'm sure Mayne will kick more goals in 2017 and I'm not so sure Young will kick 39 again.

Mayne is a very ordinary footballer. Had one good season when they made the GF, outside of that has been very average.

This pre-season should be brutal between Jonas and Clurey imo.

I think Clurey has shown much more than Jonas with his kicking and his turn of pace, if he can equal Jonas on his stopping ability than Jonas should definitely be on the table.
