I reckon it went back further than that. I think it was the Swans when Roos was coach and Brett Kirk was playing. Just my recollection, could be wrong.I think the "no dickheads policy" was a Phil
Walsh mantra.

Billy Hartung?
Sounds like we dodged a bullett with Gorringe thenCorrect, Swans.
Article by Richard Hinds in the Daily Telegraph;
DURING the Swans’ momentous 2005 season I interviewed recruiting manager Rick Barham about the compilation of what would become a premiership team.
Said Barham: “You won’t find a dickhead on our list.
“I won’t name names but we’ve been laughed at sometimes for overlooking kids because they didn’t have the qualities we wanted.
“A few years later the same blokes are making a name for the wrong sort of things. They’re underperforming or getting traded. Sometimes they are even getting offered to us.’’

Would have taken him over Imp in the draft Got that one wrong. The Saints were all over him before the draft he trained with them then they went over him I've always wondered why? Hasn't established himself at the Hawks. Maybe he's only a glamorised version of Hoon?
Has anyone listened to trade radio podcast? Anyone heard that lobbe going to ask for a trade?

Chris Mayne on the move from Freo but he'll probably be out of our price range. We should bid though, he's an unrestricted free agent and a better option than Black, even if he is 4 cm shorter.
Will end up at a vic club.Chris Mayne on the move from Freo but he'll probably be out of our price range. We should bid though, he's an unrestricted free agent and a better option than Black, even if he is 4 cm shorter.
He's also three years older than Aaron Black and will probably be three times more expensive than Aaron Black.
Young is a similar but better player at probably half the cost. Mayne would add nothing to our club except more salary cap pressure.

Young is similar but surely Mayne is the more accurate goal kicker and proven player.
Young more than doubled Mayne's goal tally this year despite playing one less game.

No hair flicks. Not happening.Has had more than a few head knocks too (advised to be less reckless + less going for speckies?)
I would be happy to see him in one of those soft head protectors.

$500k a year is way too rich for us anyway but we should still have a chat.
And yet everyone wants to see Monfries go around again after a year out.Mayne is a very ordinary footballer. Had one good season when they made the GF, outside of that has been very average.
I think Clurey has shown much more than Jonas with his kicking and his turn of pace, if he can equal Jonas on his stopping ability than Jonas should definitely be on the table. This pre-season should be brutal between Jonas and Clurey imo.
