Ok first of all i think we should stay clear of trading for any big names and if we do any trading try and get some good draft picks, but as a matter of conversation thought i'd throw up some names for the PSD of trades if they can be picked up cheap enough.

Just what we need, another undisciplined player. The guy just got an 8 week ban. 2 games of season to go brings it down to 6. The pies go out in the first round of finals brings it to 5.

If a club picked him up they wouldnt get to play him until a few rounds into the 2008 season unless they made the pre-season grand final then he would only miss 1 week of 2008.

problem is - they'll all want a draft pick for these guys... that that should expressively be off the table this year.

Any player is up for trade at any club.
We need some midfield pace. We can find it in the draft or from another club.
Personally i think a Brett Deliedlo would be a good pick up. As would be a Daniel Wells and a Joel Corey.
Lance Franklin can be another along with Luke Hodge.
Freo can certainly clean house this year.
I say stick with the draft there is good young kids coming through and trade some of our stock for top draft picks. Do a Trent Croad situation. Trade them and get them back in 2 years.

I reckon Mark Coughlan would be worth a punt. Sure, he's had 25 knee reconstructions, but will be 26 at the start of next season and hasn't played any footy for about 3 years. At the right price, he would be a good pickup. Richmond might even delist him, so he could be free.

I cant see him getting traded, Richmond wouldnt get what they think he is worth and no club would give up what Richmond would ask. The best thing they can do is just pray he gets fit.

heres an idea we havent tried at fremantle lets try and develop our own side with our own culture and idaels and not get players that have their own way of operating. and forget Farren ray imo he is too soft and far too much of an outside palyer with no pace
