Freo talking to Cameron, that is okay West Coast have said they are targetting two ruckman this trade / draft....... so maybe Vardy and via the draft maybe a Goddard or other young ruckman.

Why are we targeting two ruckman ,so that's gonna give us Giles Lycett ,NN when he comes back and two others ? I thought it was midfielders we were after even after picking up S Mitchell another one is needed

We will hopefully get an experienced crab ruckman who can step in when needed but we may choose to get a young project one as well .
Not sure we need so many rucks on our list tho
I hope we rookie a kpp as well

My guess is they are not that confident in Giles ( I hope I'm wrong and he perform in that one game )but he'll need to lift

The problem is lycett may not be 100% at the beginning of the season.
Giles can play but I don't think he was brought in to be our number 1 ruck.

I must say Sammy Mitchell looks ridiculously good in the wings

It might be beyond our control if there's that little interest. But I would have expected something, even if it was only pick 50-70 type thing we could actually use another one of those. I would have hoped that's what we may have gotten if he got picked up FA. If we ain't even getting that I would have preferred keep him and sell ezy.

Unfortunately for Brown having suffered 2 x ACL's didn't help his cause. Would think some Clubs would have thought he was too big a risk!

Academy selection apparently. Only ours for free if nobody takes him earlier, we get him as a cat B rookie is my understanding until the rules change next year.

This is really the pre Academy selection year and the rule is that if the eligible academy player is not picked in the ND or Rookie draft then WCE in this instance can take as a Category B selection however if it was 2017 we get to take the player as a priority straight to the list or like Northern states in Brisbane and Sydney we get a bidding system where we get a points reduction advantage to draft the player .
However I'm not certain 100% anymore and further investigation might be needed .

Ps....... You would hope as he appears not to be a top 50 selection in the draft that clubs will allow him to get to West Coast as that Academy selection .. ...although the third fastest time in Combine history isn't going under the radar .
