Hopefully we can just do it with a swap of picks as opposed to losing a pick.

Even if we just pay our 3rd rounder, it means we are likely forced to use our 2nd rounder on Waterman, which means we are only bringing in one highly rated midfielder (excluding Mitchell).

We won't be forced to use our second rounder on Waterman unless a club bids before that pick.

The only negative I get from this is the fact he could've been a FA had he not signed on for another season.

I think it's Sam's choice and Hawks should do the right thing for a guy who has been totally loyal to them and is moving to further his life after footy ..

Can't see Crazy Vosso using our first pick which will net a young mid.

No ****ing way we lose pick 12 or a best 18 player.

At absolute worst it should be our third rounder.

Yes he's an A grader, mentor, etc etc but he's 34 ffs.

Hawks aren't doing this out of the pure goodness of their hearts either, they need to free up cash and Mitchell might not be on a millionaire wage but he ain't getting paid as a rookie either.
