So this Mitchell guy.... has pace? can kick?

Elite disposal off both feet, wins clearances even when being served by a 200cm spud in the ruck. Who needs pace?

Did our recruiters get confused?

"We've been hearing that a lot of clubs are interested in this Mitchell kid, let's get in his ear."

Nah Hawks bound by the "Highlander" clause.

Third rounder is a no brainer.

Tbh for two years you could argue he is worth our second rounder BUT given we kinda hold the cards I hope we don't need to use it.

That being said given the question is already being asked about pick 12 (and thankfully shut down) I get the feeling he will cost out second.

Vozzo said hawks approached eagles on this. Now that it has been leaked, Hawks will be under a bit of pressure to get it done, especially with Mitchell expressing some desire to come here. Reckon we hold the chips on this trade...

Lol, why would you give up a 1st round pick when we could get him for probably a 3rd?

That's like being offered a beer for $10 but saying you'll pay $50 because you really want it.

I said i would prefer not to, but if thats what it takes its a no brainer.

Every time I see someone suggest we trade the FREE AGENT Mitch Brown, I surprise myself on how long I can sigh.

On another note you can really easily see the spanners on this board when they are opposed to having Sam Mitchell with us next season, the man is a star.
Restricted free agents have the right to move to a club of their choice, subject to the current club’s right of first refusal over their services. That is, if the current club can ‘match’ the offer from a suitor club, the player must stay or enter the draft. The tabled offer includes only football payments and Additional Service Agreements (ASA) amounts.

Some of these trade suggestions are insane.

Hawks approached Mitchell to leave. They need cap room.

It's much more likely to be a 4th rounder plus than anything of any value. As if we're giving up a second (let alone first) rounder for him.

A best 22 for round 1 next year if Mitchell comes over.

Shep Gov Barrass
Hurn Schoey Mitchell

Jetta Priddis Gaff

Yeo Darling Redden
Cripps JK Lecra

Ruck: Lycett , Shuey, Sheed

Bench: Giles, Duggan, Wellingham, Nelson.

Depth: Masten, Hutchings, Hill, Butler, Emac, Karps, Tunbridge, Parto

- Personally i would go with one less ruck and bring in another mid but cannot see us doing that.
- Mitchell to rotate from backline to midfield.
- Wellingham to be a utility around the ground. Wing/backline/Midfield/Forward line. Lets use hit pace.
- Yeo & Redden to rotate into the midfield. Yeo was good for 20 goals in 2015 so lets get him back into form. Redden wasnt to bad early in the year kicking a few goals.
- During a game we can move Gov up front if needed and throw Yeo down back. We do not lose Height as we have Schoey and Barrass.
