Guys - Campbell at another club who will give him a real go will surprise. He was competing against Tarrant, Murphy etc. Harvey liked Tarrant (regardless of the poor games) and both Murphy and Campbell only got limited game time.

So I think he will be at the doggies as you guys need key forwards.

Getting either Hall or Thompson will also be a good move provided you do not have to give away the farm to get Hall. Hall or Thompson plus Campbell will be good and give your young forwards time to develop.

Do not rate Ray. Just has not come on and kicking is terrible. Trade him to Freo for Campbell.

Are you sure you're a Freo supporter? IF Campbell wants out (and there has only been 1 report on 1 tv station saying that he does) then draft picks would be a better swap. As you've said, Ray can't kick, plus it appears he wants to stay in Melbourne.

I'd rather trade Ray for a draft pick and pick up another younger kid. Unless we can zip him up as part of a trade deal for a gun forward (highly unlikely) we should be stocking up the kids prior to the GC monopoly draft.

IMO that's very wishful thinking. I'd just take Ray for Reid, we need a KPP and Collingwood have N.Brown, Rusling, J.Anthony, Dawes all coming through the ranks.

Hell I'd even throw them our second pick, I know that's us get screwed over on paper but I really like the cut of Reid's jib.

The other two guys to look at are Dowler and Thorp for Hawthorn.

Forget about Boyle not getting a game behind Buddy and Roughy, Dowler and Thorp are the real talents who are being left to rot in the VFL. Only 19 and 20 years old as well. Thorp especially interests me, certainly a lot more then who ever that Campbell bloke is from New Zeland.

That would give me an erection.

Unfortunately Reid signed a new contract very recently, and while it is theoretically possible for him to be traded it would be most unusual to say the least.

When young Ben got drafted the F/S rule was 100 games at one club, now I think it has been changed to 100 games with multiple clubs and the right to choose a club the father has played over 50 games with.

If we were recruiting him today, he would probably be a father/son.

Well Hall's age is not a real factor considering by the time he retires, Grant and Boumann will have developed and ready to take over for the next 15 years.

However yes he is better than Boyle and this Campbell guy. Although i would still take Kosi over him.

But to get Kosi, we would most likely have to give up on Cordy, there's no way the Saints wouldn't want at least one first rounder for Kosi.

The Hawks would want a first round pick or an Everitt or Higgins for Thorp.

Not necessarily....i think Ray + 2nd rounder for Kosi is a fair deal. Leaving our first rounder for Cordy.
